When did you actually worry about it? I know this has been asked, but it's one of those things where you want your own, specific to you, advice.
I have a LOT of BH's. Like getting down to 2 minutes apart isn't uncommon for me a lot. It happened last time too, and the MFM's (then) and midwives (now) always said not to worry unless I had definite signs of labor like loss of mucous plug, bleeding, or waters breaking. I'm just one of those lucky ladies with an irritable uterus, apparently.
The thing is, last night they started getting much more painful than usual (they vary between no pain at all and mildly painful normally). I took a bath and they stopped during it, but started again as soon as I stood up. I was able to sleep, but they woke me up randomly throughout the night. Now at 6 am I have no desire to lay back down because they hurt so much more laying down. I just started timing, but they're around 5 minutes apart and 1-1.5 minutes long (but not consistent in timing, duration, or pain level) I'm drinking a bunch of water now, since I didn't overnight, for obvious reasons. And I'll take a bath soon, but since DH is about to get up for work I'm waiting so he can shower first.
I don't have any of the labor signs they said to watch for, and they don't feel quite like I remember contractions feeling last time (though it's been a year and I was on pitocin so I can't say how accurate that is), but they do hurt enough I'm having to stop whatever I'm doing to breathe through them, and I wouldn't be able to talk (I don't think?). I feel like, in writing this all out, that everyone is just going to say to call, but they've been so dismissive every time I've brought it up at appointments that I'm hesitant. I want to see what effect a bath has first.
So... Yeah, not sure what I'm looking for here. I guess I'm wondering if anyone has had things get more painful but turn out to be nothing. For what it's worth, since sitting up they've gotten closer together but (mostly) less painful (though not a ton).
