Our son has no school today, so I'm gonna take the day off and keep him company. Scheduled an afternoon playdate at a friend's house (it's raining), and she asked me to bring something fun for the kids. (They're moving and don't have many toys in the house.)

I said I'd bring the ingredients for a paper mache volcano, and then we'll build them together. Then afterwards, we'll erupt them with different food coloring in the vinegar. I think the kids will have fun, but I'm worried that our son's friend won't be into the volcano exploding part. So was thinking about bringing a second backup activity.

Any suggestions? They're both 4 years old right now.
