did you bleed afterwards? I had some bright red mucousy bleeding right after then it went away until about 4 hours later. I was having a lot of cramps so I thought it could be my bloody show. However, it was late so I decided to get some sleep while I could just in case and my contractions went away. Now I'm just nervous about the bleeding? Should I call my OB?

I had one at 40w2d which resulted in a lot of bleeding & cramps but no actual labour. Then I had another (significantly more "violent" - quite painful & longer than the first) at 40w5d, and went into labour about 8 hrs later. Who is to say though, at 40w5d I might have gone into labour anyway! From the time I had the sweep til that night though, it felt like things were happening.

Yes, I had bleeding and cramps. It was actually a good amount of bleeding and I called my OB's nurses line because I was worried. She said if I soaked through a pad in less than an hour to call back. I ended up going into labor a couple of hours later, though!

After the first sweep I had some bleeding. After the second one (4 days later) I went into labor.

I had a sweep at 40w3d, and had off and on cramping and brownish discharge. I went into labor at 2am the next day! Good luck

yes i had bleeding. the next day i had a lot of back cramping and went into labor that night!

No but I did bleed a ton and felt MISERABLE. My dr said it would work within 48 hours if it was going to

I had two sweeps one at 39 weeks and then another at 39+6 and I didn't have any bleeding with either but after the second one I had on and off cramps and contractions and went into labor around 12am and had my LO af 9:36pm that night his due date. I wish you luck and hope your LO is on the way

Yes! They didn't tell me and I stood up off the hospital bed and blood dropped everywhere! Ew.

Cramps and some spotting. I didn't go into labor for several more days, though.

Yep! Bleeding and cramps and labor (which I talked myself into the contractions just being cramping for awhile, until it was obvious I was in labor!!)

I had bleeding and cramps but it was nearly another week till I had a baby... So I don't think it helped.

I had 2 sweeps each a week apart. After the first I started losing bits of my plug. After the 2nd I didn't notice a difference until 3 days later when I went in to labour the day before my due date.
