I'm expecting a little girl, but have found that most places that carry sweet baby girl clothes have equally adorable gear for mini dudes - Baby Gap, Old Navy, Target, Gymboree, various consignment shops, and Etsy for unique, occasion wear.
I saw this awesome boy's onesie at Target last week that had a triple decker cheeseburger driving a car. It was awesome in every way.

Carter's and Old Navy. Baby Gap if we can find it on sale/on consignment. A few basics from H&M. Target if they're having a good sale.

Carters, Gap, Gymboree and Target.
I like the carters basics (cotton pants, plain onesies), Gap for more specialty pieces but you can do well on the sale rack there. Gap also has the best socks! Gymboree I always shop the sale rack and don't pay more than $10 for anything. Target for graphic tees.
I did really well at the consignment sale for the summer. I have a hard time buying clothes seasons ahead because I feel like up until now he was growing like a weed!

I like getting pants / overalls at Old Navy since they have the 6-12 month size (I hate getting 6-9 month vs 9-12 month sizes).
Butttt.... Carter's stuff is really cute and nice and soft! I feel like their infant boys stuff is some of the cutest. I tend to get a lot of Carter's clothes from Marshalls or TJ Maxx. They have great prices on it!
When he gets a little older, maybe I'll spring for Baby Gap. I like that their clothes look like miniature adult clothes (but now with his chubby infant cheeks I want to adorn him with silly dinosaurs and crabs and ridiculous things like that!).

@littlebittyhouse: Seriously GAP has the BEST socks! They are super adorable, great quality and fit awesome! They are worth paying a little more for.

I buy the majority from Old Navy and The Childrens Place, they have great sales! I also find cute outfits at TJ Maxx and Target! I shop at Carters for basics like pajamas, onesies or simple clothes to just play in.
Baby Gap is so pricey to me even on sale and I don't have a store/outlet anywhere around.

Carters and Old Navy are my go-to's. I LOVE carter's onesies and old navy triple roll socks (online only) are the only thing that stay on his feet. I spring for Gap clothes for special occasions - their button downs come in bodysuits which are so clutch.

We usually shop at Baby Gap, H&M and Janie and Jack for outerwear and Carters for PJs/Comfy home wear.

@alleyflowers: i think you and i have the same taste in boys clothing! i always say that i am going to dress him like a baby for as long as i can because those chubba baby cheeks are so fleeting! YES to the gap socks - perfection! i am finding now that he is in 18mo clothing it is less baby and more little boy which makes me a little sad! He's only 11mo!
