How do you deal with all the energy? Lots of park visits? My son is almost 2.5 and tons of fun but a LOT of energy.

Lots of free play. We have a playroom that's child proofed and he just goes nuts in there. We do a lot of park visits too.

We're super lucky to have a 30 acre forest in our neighbourhood with trails. I let her go wild in there.
My LO needs fresh air everyday, usually multiple times, otherwise it's tantrum central and she won't sleep.

We just got a climber for the back yard...directing some of that energy in the direction of something meant to be climbed on, instead of the furniture! that way we can get outside multiple times a day. Lots of push toys too.

Lots of play time, lots of walks and park visits, getting out of the house as much as possible. She always does better and sleeps better when we dont spend all day in our house.

I embrace and encourage it. We're loud, boisterous people. We do a lot of jumping, chasing, running, squealing. I love it.

@loveisstrange: that's what I've noticed as well! He does much better if we are out of the house a lot.

We go to the park at least 1x day, sometimes more on weekends! Lots of walks. He definitely seems happier and less restless when we are out of the house.

We definitely get out of the house as much as we can. Some days we are at the park in the mornng and then again after nap. He does SO much better if he's able to get his energy out. It's proving to be difficult with a newborn but everyone is much happier when DS is able to use some of that energy. We make it a priority everyday.

We are at the park 2x a day usually, and now that he is better about following directions, I have started to let him walk, rather than sit in the stroller. It's about a 5-10 minute walk for me, so definitely burns off some energy for him.
