I love both my kids equally, but I have a soft spot for my son! Maybe because he's so good and adorable and a boy?
I have a different type of soft spot for my baby girl too though.
Love is so crazy!

@Mrs. Bee: that would explain why my little brother can do no wrong as far as my mom is concerned! (he's 30)

I can't imagine what it feels like to love someone other than my LO!

@Mrs. Bee: I'm 33 and my mom still has a soft spot for me! (youngest of 3!)

@Mrs. Bee: My older brother is my mom's favourite. I must be the anomaly!

My parents are total softies for my older brother!!! I seriously do no wrong and they still favor him!
I love my kids equally but the love I have for each of them feels a little different. Both loves are totally all-encompassing though! I get overwhelmed when I try to think about how much I love both of them.

@rachiecakes: Must be! My husband is a twin (the older one) and I swear my MIL has a soft spot for his brother!
I always worry about how my love for my LO would change if I have a second one. I can definitely see how it might be easier to love one child more than another on a given day depending on how they are acting. ;p

I'll admit I have a soft spot for DS but mainly because he's still a baby. But I'm super proud of DD and how grown up she has become.

DH often says he can't imagine our life getting any better, or us having room to love anyone else and we should just stop at 1. I hope I love them both differently, but with all of myself.

I love them equally but sometimes it's easier to love DD because she is easier and DS is defiant and 3 haha. But I still love him like crazy!

I am absolutely in love with both equally. I do have a soft spot for my daughter tho. Maybe because she's the baby and a girl.

I would say I love them differently but equally. And so, so much. I have a soft spot for both of them, but for different things. DD will get away with much more, though, because she has had the puppy dog face and sad eyes NAILED from day one.
