This thread makes me feel so much better that we might actually be able to have the family we had envisioned. We're struggling with #1, and I'm happy to hear people had their first a bit later and went on to have a few more.

DD2 was on when I was 30 (barely).

@Crystal: Yes, it's really encouraging to see so much diversity in responses. I was thinking I might not want to actually know what the poll responses looked like, but there is more diversity than what I was expecting, which is awesome!

We want three...
Had my first just before 26 and this one is due just after I'm 28. Assuming a third around when I'm 30.
DHs cousin had her three close in age after she turned 33.

This poll makes me sad. I had my first a couple of weeks after I turned 34. Now a year later, I'm not yet pregnant, nor has my cycle returned. I really want potentially two more. But I worry that we won't want to risk a third child (when/if we get there) due to my age. Seeing how early all you 3-kid parents started, makes me wish we hadn't waited so long.

I was
29 (about to turn 30) with LO1
31 with LO2and will be 33 or close to 34 when (and if) we have a third. But I think we finally decided that we will have a third.

and eventually we want a 3rd, but more like when I'm 37 (not sure if that will be in the cards) -
We want three and I was 32 when DD was born, a few days past 35 when DS was born. I will be at least 36 if we are lucky enough to have a third.
