I'm currently 16w4d and haven't felt any movement yet, but I also have an anterior placenta. When do you think I should expect to feel something? Can you tell I am getting anxious?!

I had anterior placenta with DD and din't feel any movements until over 20 weeks. Once she started, she didn't stop, though!

I had an anterior placenta, so it took until about 20 weeks to feel movement. I drank a lot of lemonade to see if it would make him move and to see if I felt bubbles.

I'd say 20-ish weeks? It didn't get constant and regular for another couple of weeks... I just felt it here and there at the time.

I have anterior placentas for both of mine but started feeling tickles around 16 weeks. I think with twins, though, you start to feel movements a little earlier since everything is stretched out more...I'm sure you'll feel something soon!

Around 20 weeks flutters, 21 weeks for kicks, then it was 23 weeks before DH felt the baby.

I had an anterior placenta but I started feeling flutters around 17/18 weeks. I felt a real little jab at 20 weeks.

I had an anterior placenta and first felt flutters at a little past 17 weeks. I wasn't able to feel anything from the outside until 21 weeks.

I was also much past 20 weeks when I felt them and had a hard time feeling them throughout my pregnancy.

I recently posted the same question with a poll!

I felt definite kicks by 21 or so weeks. However I think I'd been getting kicked in the cervix for WEEKS before that but dismissed it as a nerve twitch. Baby kicked me in the cervix during an u/s so I can confirm it was actually happening!

I'm in the 20ish weeks category with my a/p and DH felt him between 20/21. I felt rolls and flutters earlier, but CLEAR movement around 20.

Mine was around 21-22 weeks until I felt anything. I was also anxious, but after I could feel she made up for it kicking me NON-stop.

I actually just found out last week I have an anterior placenta. I couldn't figure out why I couldn't feel movement until later and now I know why.
I'm currently 32 1/2 weeks but I didn't feel movement until closer to 20weeks and my DH didn't until a few weeks after that.

I think I was about 17/18 weeks when I felt movement. It took DH a looooong time to feel anything from the outside - close to 30 weeks I think.

Right at 20 weeks!
DH felt him from the outside maybe around 25 weeks?

I didn't feel regular movement almost my entire pregnancy. At 22 weeks I could feel hard kicks that I couldn't confuse with gas, but they didn't happen often.

Just found out this morning that I have an anterior placenta too, so I'm really glad I found this post!
I've felt teeny kicks or pokes since 17-18 weeks, but very rarely. Mostly it's just a weird movement feeling but nothing ai could define, if that makes sense. I did feel a couple of good jabs the other day though, at 19 weeks. Baby was definitely kicking at my cervix in the ultrasound this morning, but I couldn't feel it at all-- weird to see him/her kicking without feeling it!
I've been sort of worried/impatient that I couldn't feel more, but as soon as she told me the placenta was at the top in the front, I was like, OOOH, is that anterior? Is that why I can't feel a lot? So, thanks Hellobee!

Just found this, and it makes me feel better! I felt my first real flutter/movement that I couldn't mistake for anything else at 19 weeks, but now at 21 weeks, I am finally feeling all day kicks. DH can't feel any yet, but I hope it is soon I will say, though, baby kicks take a little getting used to-they keep surprising me!

I felt the first kicks at 18w3d but it took several more weeks before I could feel them regularly. During weeks 19-24 or so, it would often be 2-3 days in between feeling movements, since the baby is still pretty tiny at that point and the feet had to be in just the right place for me to feel them.

@LovelyPlum: this makes me feel better too! also have AP and impatient to feel more movement.

@jhd: me too I wasn't sure if I just wasn't paying attention enough to feel movement, or if I really wasn't feeling much. But once they start, man, they START. The last few nights have made me almost wish that I couldn't feel anything-the *second* I lay down, I proceed to get kicked to kingdom come. I mean, it's very cool to feel, but I get tired! That probably sounds bad, huh? Whoops...
BTW, are we having the same pregnancy?!

@PurplePeony: this also makes me feel better. I have days where I don't feel much, and I almost forget that I'm supposed to be feeling something more constantly. It's good to know that it can be more normal!

22 weeks were when I knew what I was feeling were kicks! Before that I felt little "gas bubbles" that were probably kicks, but I wasn't really sure!
