Can you post pictures so those of us that live in the south can just sit here and be jealous?

Ooh I want to see pictures too! It is so cold and rainy and yucky here with no pretty snow to enjoy!

@mrsjazz: seriously, no. @Mrs. Lion and I are down here in the south with no snow to be seen. I miss it!

@mediagirl: haha be jealous about this! This pic is from two years ago, the last big 2 foot storm we had. That's DH's Pruis
I'll post pics tomorrow once the snow hits! We're in the 2-3 foot area.

Not in the NE but I'll give you a picture since we always have snow.

@sorrycharlie: I want to trade places. Being snowed in would be amazing right now!
we have about 2 inches where I am and I'm sitting at work with no patients. I wanna be home!

ha can you post pictures of you commuting to work safely
I loved snow until I was an adult. I'm in the foot and a half zone and it's looking like we might have been overhyped.

@mediagirl: @Mrs. Lion: This is from when I lived in Philly...a car at the end of my street, lol!

Awww, I also miss snow (and snow days) -- I will live vicariously through these pictures!

@Espion: lol so glad I don't have a car/nyc street parking today. I remember a blizzard when I was a kid and walking on the tops of all the cars the plow dumped snow on
blogger / grapefruit / 4836 posts
@Espion: hahaha
Oh man, this much snow down here and we would be home bound for weeks.
@mediagirl: Were you here in 99 (maybe 2000?) when we got 2 feet? I literally didn't go to school for 2 weeks!
Happy snow day everyone!
hostess / wonderful persimmon / 25556 posts
@Mrs. Lion: no! I moved down here in 2005. I was in Maryland when we got those 2-3 feet, though. That was amazing.

This storm hasnt moved in on us yet, but here's my back yard after the last storm:

@yellowbird: we rent and they don't have a generator! I'm currently debating to stay put or pack our lives up and stay at my parents. They don't have a generator but a small house, easier to hear w/boiling water haha. Dh won't go though. Men.

@Mrs. Lion: @mediagirl: I'll speak for the sane North Carolinians , no jealousy here! A light dusting would be nice, 2 feet? Nah!
And @Mrs. Lion: Yup! No school for over a week was awesooome!

@mediagirl: I'm in northern MI, so this pic is from last year March. Literally the view from my car window from the road.

Here's what we've got so far:
Most of the 2-3 ft is supposed to fall overnight. It's been snowing on and off since around 7:30 - sometimes huge flakes, sometimes fine ones, sometimes just blowing snow.
grapefruit / 4584 posts
I'll post more tomorrow. ATM there are huge chunky flakes swirling around - feels like I'm in a snow globe.
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts
Be safe everyone!
@Espion: This is funny!
@reverie: I agree, as an adult, I'm never leaving the south!
@PurplePumps: Beautiful!
For fun, this is my daughter from last week!

It's jut starting to come down here but it isn't really supposed to starts until tonight. They are predicting maybe 2 feet tomorrow. It's my birthday tomorrow so it's nice that Dh can stay home with us- his office already closed.

It's been pretty calm thus far but they're saying the worst is coming after midnight into tomorrow. The wind is super strong and loud!

Loving all these snow pics! I haven't seen any in like 8 years. And I've never lived anywhere but florida, so I've romanticized it heavily. Being snowed in sounds cozy to me.
I have been cracking up at the storm coverage, though. It's like hurricane coverage down here. So dramatic!

Last year's snowstorm in BK. I'm looking forward to taking tons of pictures tomorrow.

Kind of a bust here in the greater Hartford area of CT. We have maybe 10".....nowhere near the 18-30" they were predicting!
nectarine / 2465 posts
@petunia354: I'm in Wallingford, CT!
The storm isn't half as bad as the one in February '13, but I still get a day off, so I'm not complaining
grapefruit / 4703 posts
Ok, here we go. We have anywhere from 12-20" depending on where you measure, and it's still going strong.
hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts
The worst for us is supposed to be now through noon (RI)

@PurplePumps: beautiful tree lines!
