Okcupid. I was VERY skeptical about online dating and wasn't about to pay for it, but DH was the first and only person I met off the site, so it was a very quick success for me! DH, on the other hand, has some pretty great stories from the year or so of online dating he did before meeting me.

eHarmony!
Me and DH were actually signed up for a bunch of dating sites but we both independently picked eHarmony to pay for and we were matched up right away when I signed up (DH was on for about a year I believe).
But what is funny that while we were dating match.com does these *winks* if you haven't paid for people that would be match with you ... and we both got a wink from each other! So it's nice to know we would have been matched in both.
@oliviaoblivia: One of my good friends was dating this girl and they were visiting us... *they live a few states away*, when she found out me and DH met on eHarmony, she wanted to do the test to see who would be matched with her (you pay to communicate) and so did my friend. They wanted to see if they would be matched up... weird thing happened to her... eHarmony said something along the lines that they have no matches for her because her results were too out of range. Very weird!

Met my hubby on Yahoo Personals, which is pretty terrible (or was back in the day). But it worked out for us.

I have a few friends who are married to people they met on eharmony, and a very close friend who is getting married in October to a girl he met on match.com!

Coming back to add - We're good friends with 6 other couples (5 married, 1 engaged) who have met on Match. 3 of the guys are my husband's friends who signed up after they saw our relationship was legit, and then 3 of the other couples were married before us!

We met via Match.com. My husband's two best female friends had met their husbands that way and they got him to sign up. I tried eHarmony, but didn't like it. This was 7 or 8 years ago, so both sites have probably changed since then.

My husband and I didn’t meet online, but prior to meeting him I met several guys on Match. Of course like anywhere you have to wade through some losers, but I met a bunch of really great guys via Match; they just were not perfect for me. Had a lot of fun too!
