I never ever wanted kids until i met DH. i don't know if that would've changed as I got older, but I'd say almost definitely no!

Kids weren't so important to me until I met dh. Plus, I don't think I could have done it alone due to health reasons. I need someone to take care of me sometimes.... So there's no way I could take care of someone else by myself.

No, I didn't want kids until I met DH! If I was single now babies wouldn't be on my radar.

Yup I always wanted kids and would be so dissapointed if I didn't have em. I would do it on my own of it came down to that. It would be super hard though

I doubt it. Kids weren't even on my radar before I met DH. I was pretty sure I wouldn't ever have them, and didn't particularly want them. I was young when we met (only 21) so maybe that would have changed as I got older, who knows?

ETA: I have mad respect for women who do it alone, whether by choice or circumstance. I think I would go crazy if I didn't have DH.

I don't know. DH and I actually just talked about this the other day. I've always wanted kids and to be a mom, so I said I would have seriously considered it, but DH pointed out (in a nice way) that I probably could never afford it. As it is, my salary would barely cover daycare, so what would I do? Even taking out the cost of fertility treatments or adoption, I just don't know how I would have been able to afford to be a single parent. I mean, I know it happens and people make it work, but I'm not sure I could do it on purpose.

I didn't even have a desire for children until I met Mr. Jacks. Besides, I have tons of kids at work where I can get my fix. I think I would have been happily childless... but that wasn't in the plans for me and I love my life more than I could have ever possibly imagined!

I don't know that I would have. An old roomate of mine has a one year old that she had through artificial insemination and she is looking into having her second. I find the whole process very interesting and she is such a strong woman. I don't know if I would have been strong enough, I depend on help from DH a lot.

i don't think so now that i know how tough it is. i can't imagine doing it solo. but then again i can't imagine not having kids! i don't think i could do it though.

I would but my baby fever didn't start until after we were married. Before getting married, I was really iffy on having kids. Getting older has definitely made me want to have kids... well, then there's the infertility problem that has made it worse, too.

Didn't want kids before DH and would definitely NEVER have them solo. I'd lose my mind.

When I was single, yes. I always thought that if for some reason I wasn't married by a certain age I would ask a good guy friend to "donate" his sperm. Knowing what I know now with my LO I would say helllll no.

Yes I gave myself until age 35 to find and marry the right person. I grew up with around alot of career driven women who missed out on having kids and husband. I didn't want that for me. Even if I didn't fall in love I wanted a family.

I was a parent before I met DH so yes:)

I don't think DH would have really wanted to have kids if he weren't with someone that already had one or really wanted one. I think he would have been ok not being a parent.
