Yes, to some degree at least.... it made me less constipated and increased the need to use the restroom.. but only to a healthy degree!

i give my daughter probiotics almost daily and definitely notice a change. before she had on and off diarrhea/stomach issues but once we started probiotics more consistently, not only did she stop having those issues, her mood got a lot better too! so i definitely think they help!

I think if you don't have any digestive issues it can be hard to tell.
I take a really high dose one that you're supposed to take under medical supervision (which I do) due to damage to my GI tract, and I can definitely tell. If I change probiotics I digest things differently.

@2littlepumpkins: yeah I don't have any digestive issues - from what my friend told me I was hoping it would help with energy and acne!

@kodybear: What brand do you use for your daughter?
I've been giving my girls an adult gummy, but I feel like the gummies aren't as good as the powders. I use to buy the powder (I'll have to look at the brand) but they didn't like the taste, now that we make smoothies it might be easier.
I know my Mom can tell when she doesn't take them and she has digestive issues, I can't tell if I miss a dose.

@StbHisMrs: i use florastor kids. its a powder and its kind of expensive, but i tried the daily probiotic tablets (ultimate flora) and it just didn't work the same. it does have a fruit punch taste to it but my daughter doesn't seem to mind too much..

@kodybear: Thanks I'll have to look it up. The brand I was using was Garden of Life Raw Probiotics, it's a little spendy too.

@Mamaof2: Ah, I don't think I've ever really noticed much of a change with my complexion but I don't really have a huge problem there either so it's hard to tell! What are you using? Could you look on their website and see how long it takes to colonize?

I have IBS, so probiotics are a must for me! I haven't noticed any added benefits, other than being more regular. It took a long time for the effects to become noticeable and it's important you don't miss a dose, according to my gastroenterologist.

I notice if I don't take them for a few days; it messes with my digestive system. I haven't noticed any other benefits besides aiding in my digestion though. I have had tummy issues for a few years and now it's just part of my daily routine.
