I took frozen meat out of the freezer last night and put it in the fridge to thaw thinking I'd use it today. But I'm not. It's completely defrosted now. By when do I have to use it? Can I refreeze it?

i don't think you can refreeze it. but if you prep it, like marinate it with salt or soy sauce or whatever, i think you can leave it in the fridge for a day or two.

I don't think you can freeze it again but you should be able to use it tomorrow. We defrost chicken for a day, marinate for a day, and then cook it.

I would cook it tomorrow. Once it's cooked you can throw it back in the freezer. I think there's a no refreezing meat law somewhere.

I usually cook it within a day. I wouldn't put it back in the freezer, but MIL does it all the time. Drives me nuts! Maybe because she gave me food poisoning before...

Yes, tomorrow would be fine to use it but don't refreeze without cooking first!
