Had tears all upwards with my first, but only one tiny little tear with my second. They were the same size almost exactly!

I had some slight internal tearing with #1. Didn't tear at all with #2.

2nd with DS.
Postpartum healing wasnt bad for either though.

I had significant tearing with #1 (3rd degree), but just one stitch with #2. But I also had vastly different birth experiences with the both of them. #2 was bigger than #1, but #1 was born with a fist at her face. I also had a water birth with an incredibly supportive midwife for #2 who effectively coached me through pushing/ring of fire business. So, for whatever that's worth.

Following. This is making me feel better. I had a 2nd degree tear and really hated recovery. I honestly thought recovery was worse than my (med free) labor.

My friend tore with her first and not at all for her 2nd or 3rd!

Tore end to end with my first, one stitch with my second and none with my third.

This is encouraging! I really hated pp recovery; if I ever have another, I hope to God it's easier the second time around! Baby girl had her hand on her face, so that may have been part of the issue...

2nd degree tear with #1
No tear with #2 - super easy recovery.
They were both about the same size at birth!

Small tear with DS1 (no stitches needed). No tearing with DS2 and super easy recovery.
