Do you have a map or a way of marking places you have visited?
I'm trying to think of a good gift for my parents, a way for them to see all of the places they have visited in their lives. They travel a LOT.

We do! I bought it on Zulilly this last summer. It's magnetic so you can stick magnets on the places you've been.

We don't travel a huge amount, but we have the really big IKEA world map on a wall in our house, we stick on the flags of countries we have visited together.
There are some really nice ones that you can buy with the map pins, I would love to get that as a gift.

@looch: we saw one online that was $150 framed that comes with flags and pins and such. My husband said no to the giant price tag.

We just got a nice globe and put map pins in it.. it's a bit hard to get in to the thick material, but I love it and didn't have wall space for a map.

@mediagirl: I just bought that PaperRamma map from Etsy and gave it as a wedding gift -- the couple LOVED it. Customer service was fantastic too, helped us sort out some sticky international shipping issues.

@mediagirl: it's by a company called The Future Mapping Company. I'm looking for small colored magnets because the ones that came with it are silver, so you can't really see them.
