I am like Bee...and I am a super grump if I don't get enough sleep!

Ugh, I'm jealous of your super power. I suck at falling back asleep in the middle of the night. The worst is when LO is actually sleeping for a 2+ hour stretch, but my mind keeps anxiously awaiting his next wake up

Nope. Which is why I'm usually up from lo2s first wake up (2/3:30am) until 6-7ish.....and then lo1 gets up at 7:30.
And then I spend the whole day dying of exhaustion. Super fun.

I can if the conditions are right - dark, quiet and warm. The problem we have is that DH cant .... So he turns his lamp on and reads or plays with his phone until he's sleepy. The light and the sound of pages turning inevitably keeps me awake.

Most of the time I can fall back asleep but it was harder during the first year of DD's growth. The pp insomnia was bad. I tried this breathing technique (4-7-8 breathing) the other day and it worked for me! I could feel myself drift off to sleep.

Usually yes, but last night I had an unusually hard time. DH is usually up for a while.

Noooo it's very difficult. If I wake up it usually takes me an hour to fall back asleep. Sometimes 0.5mg of melatonin wil help.

Yes if I make sure to keep myself drowsy and not think too much while feeding baby in the middle of the night (anywhere from 2 to 6 times...)

I have to be able to, or I'd go nuts. I have a tiny bladder and when not pregnant am up at least a couple times a night to pee (even with cutting off fluids pretty early and all that). I can pass right back out. DH is kind of weird. He can fall asleep initially way fast, like in the middle of a sentence (literally) fast. And he's fine if he wakes up in the middle of the night. But if something (like the dogs) wakes him up early, he's up for the day. He can't go back to sleep after 6 or so.
