Did you go straight to a 4 year school or did you attend a junior/community college first?
Both of us started at 4 year schools but we know lots of friends who saved money by attending community college first!

I went to 3 different community colleges before transferring to a university. I kept moving and changing my major!

Both straight to 4-year, then I went straight on to 14-month graduate program.

4 year, but I didn't finish. Had I not met DH there, I would regret not having gone to a community college first, because there's a better chance I would have been able to finish. (Money was a big factor in dropping out when I did.) But I would never have met DH if that were the case, and he's the best thing that ever happened to me, so not complaining!

Straight to a 4 year university! It was never even an option to attend a junior college first.

We both went straight to a four year school. I chose it because they gave me the most scholarship money, he chose it because of the biology program. We almost didn't meet because he waited so long to apply.

I graduated high school at sixteen, and my parents wouldn't allow me to go to a school outside of the area until I was eighteen. I worked at a boutique and took classes at a community college for the next two years until I was of age, then applied and went on to a four year university.

Straight to a 4-year school. Used AP credits and one semester of summer courses to graduate a year early.

@chopsuey119: I have friends in CA and it seems they have better community colleges...at least better than the options in NYC.

I went straight to a four year, DH went straight to the Marines. He has a 4 year degree now, but attended multiple schools to get it.

@chopsuey119: I think so! I think CA had good programs for people to transfer to UCs and Cal States!

@ElbieKay: I graduated a year early too. I took a full semester's worth of classes for 2 summers. Because of my birthday, I was 20 when I graduated.

I went to a community college my junior and senior year of high school, and upon graduation, I went straight to a 4 year university. I was admitted as a Junior in college since I took so many college courses in HS.

Freshman year: 4 year school in GA
Sophomore year: community college in TX. Out of state tuition was ridiculous at the four year school
Junior and Senior year: 4 year school in TX.

Opposite! Kind if. I started at a 4 year, I stayed there for 2.5 years, decided I didn't want to pursue that major. S I just went to a 2 year college, and got my associates degree there in something completely different!
I am now starting to think about going back to a 4 year and getting my bachelors degree in my current field which is what I have my associates degree in.

I went straight to a 4-year school though technically I did some dual-enrollment at the local junior college while I was still in high school. It took away a year, so I was only "in college" for 3 years. I also had a ton of scholarships. I'm sure you can tell my nerd factor was high by the dual-enrollment part.
DH has an AA; he went to a technical college. His education was much cheaper than mine, but his field was more lucrative and we make about the same amount of money until I finish my Masters next year.

Straight to a 4 year. I had several friends who went to a CC college, and most of their credits never transferred. Ending up wasting money AND they had to retake the classes!

Started at a CC with the intention to finish my two years at a university. For quite a few reasons I didn't finish my second year at CC. I always felt like if I had the opportunity to go to a 4 year I would have finished college. The CC I went to was a joke. The teachers were awful, the staff was awful, and I just felt like I was wasting my time.
