Both of us went to 4 year colleges. I finished, he didn't. I did my math and science classes at a community colleges during freshman and sophomore years.

I went to community college while in high school so I had my associates degree by the time I finished my senior year.

@chopsuey119: I think you're right! I have to a of friends that did a JC first then transferred. Pretty smart actually!
I went straight to a 4year. DH went to a community college then transferred.
ETA: I actually went to a JC after I got my bachelors to do a certificate in photography! Kinda backwards but it worked.

I went to a four year state school. @chopsuey119: I think it is a more popular/accepted option in CA than in other places! Dh is from massachusetts but came to C A for college. He was shocked at how many people transfered to our school from a community college. He always said it was nearly unheard of where he was from. Its too bad, because it really is a huge $$ savings and when its all said and done - your diploma looks the same!

We both went straight to universities.
@autumnlove: you can sign a contract with a UC that if you attain a certain GPA that they will accept you. This is very appealing since a lot of students do not get into their UC of choice upon HS graduation.

4 year school for me. DH was educated in France and the system is different. He went for 6 years and had the equivalent of 2 BS's and one masters.
