If I was to have twin boys, I think I'd name them Declan and Cole. But I have no clue about middle names.

I knew a set of twins named Mason & Carson, and although they were matchy matchy I just loved their names!

@Mrs. Blue: Ok, no Benjamin! What happened to Oliver? Love that name!
blogger / pomelo / 5361 posts
@autumnlove: I can't convince everyone in our life to say it with an English accent, so it's fading in favor.

@Mrs. Blue: haha, Ira made me laugh cause I watched when Harry met Sally last night, and that was the name of the guy Harry's wife left him for.
I would definitely be a little cheesy and have to name them with the same first letter like Blake and Brad or something.

These were the boys names we liked (although clearly we hadn't narrowed it down) before we found out we were having a girl. A lot of these have been mentioned by others, but there are a few new ones on the list:
Hudson
Elliott
Levi
Paul
Lucas
Emerson
Samuel
Benjamin
Owen
Leo
Everett
Oliver
Logan
Colin
Eli
Henry
Duncan
Jackson
Arlo
Nico
Chase

@Mrs. Blue: I love all the Finn names! Finnian, Finley, Finnius, etc... soooo cute. I'm a sucker for adorable nicknames too... What about Eli and Finn!! omg that's so cute. Do it. Elliott and Finnian/Finley.. so freaking adorable.
hahahaha. omg Waylon?!?! really?!? that's my BFF's cats name yeah terrible idea
I told DH that I had the final say since I was the one going through pregnancy for however long AND giving birth. I also had to live with lifelong evidence of the child in my stomach (stretchmarks and bigger hips, flatter boobs)... sooo I win.

@Mrs. Pen: We would definitely use Eli for a nn for Elliot. Great minds think alike. My problem is that I love Finn, but I'm not super super in love with any of the longer variations. After DH suggested Waylon, I told him I would let him name our next dog, but that he had lost all child-naming privileges.

@Mrs. Blue: boo. even @runnerd: agreed with me. Maybe we should put it to a vote
blogger / pomelo / 5361 posts
@Mrs. Pen: Apparently, I'm going to start losing naming privileges.

@Mrs. Blue: I LOVE Finn! Couldn't you just use Finn? I don't think it necessarily needs a longer variation! Eli and Finn are soooo cute

@Mrs. Pen: greatttttt names!!!
and i agree that maybe you don't need a long version of Finn? Elliot and Finn. Finn and Eli. LOVE!

@lawbee11: @adnama: @Mrs. Blue: I was going to suggest the same thing. It's not like Sam or Ben in that everyone knows it's short for something. I think "Finn" as is works great.

We talked about twins because I thought for sure I was pregnant with them
Boys: Nolan & Easton is what we would have used
I also love, Beckett & Hudson would have come in close!

@Mrs. Blue: there are several names on our list that DH and I love but would legally make name the nickname.. For example, Brad (NOT Bradley), Abby (NOT Abigail)..

If we had twin boys I would fight for Finn & Sawyer.
Hubby hs no problem with Finn (This is our first choice boy name and would have been LO's name if she were a boy) but he's not a fan of Sawyer. But a girl can dream.
Girls I would choose Kate & Kimberly

@Mrs. Pen: @adnama: @lawbee11: I was just texting BFF and DH about whether they thought Elliot & Finn worked together, even though Elliot is a lot more syllables! They both approved, and then I saw your posts! Too funny! I think that combo just might make the short, short list! :). Thanks'
@MRSMATHY: You're singing DH's song! Finn and Sawyer were our first choices, but I eventually vetoed Sawyer because our last name ends in a similar sound and it sounded a little choppy. Great combo--especially when you think of the whole Tom Sawyer/Huck Finn BFF connection.

@Mrs. Blue: FInn has been my favorite name for awhile, and my cousin had picked Sawyer as one of her top choices but her hubby vetoed it because it reminded him of LOST. Then I mentioned the hypothetical idea to my hubby and he vetoed too! At least I still have Finn for a future son!
The Tom Sawyer/Huck Finn reasoning is my favorite.

I would name them the top two names on our list, regardless if they "matched". I see twins as siblings rather than halves Of a whole, if that makes sense?
So definitely Terrance Edward (Terry) & then either Theodore Logan/Patrick (Theo) or Elliot Logan/Patrick, (Eli) and for girls Delaney Grace & Beatrice Anne.
Aaaaaaand now y'all know what our naming options are for the next five kids.
blogger / pomelo / 5361 posts
@sera_87: those are great names! We don't want them to be matchy, but we want them to sound nice together, which I would actually want for all my kids. I like it when siblings have names that sound like they are of the same genre, era, etc. Our problem is we've never had two top favorite name combos!

I have no name suggestions, I just wanted to say good luck! We had a really hard time coming up with names for our twin boys. I think my problem was I didn't want to like one of their names better than the other one. I felt mean giving one baby my top favorite name and the other baby got seconds. HAHA I know I'm weird! Our boys ended up being Bryson James and Jayden Ray.

I like Eli & Levi, but that is probably too matchy.
Julian and Theodore? Elliot and Thomas? Michael and Patrick? James and Lawrence?

I really really want twins!
B/G: Matt and Lucy
G/G: Clara and Lucy
B/B: Jack and Evan.
My family fantasy is one set of twins. A boy and a girl on my first pregnancy

@Mrs. Pen: I loveeee Finn & Wes! Actually, I liked all of the names you suggested!
@Mrs. Blue: For twins boys, we'd do Finn and Leo. I know you're not having girls, but if I ever had twin girls I'd love to have a Lydia and Kate. When I was a kid, I was OBSESSED with twins (thank you Sweet Valley books) and I really wanted to have twins named Denim and Lace. Thank god I grew out of that!!
blogger / pomelo / 5361 posts
@andrea86: No, I completely understand that. I also feel like one name can't be more significant than the other, which makes family names difficult, too. Love your twins's names!
grapefruit / 4703 posts
@twodoghouse: LOL Denim and Lace!! I think all the characters in my stories when I was little were named Lacey.
@MrsCB: LOVE Declan
pomelo / 5298 posts
Corbin
Owen
Dalton
Logan
...these are some of the names I'm liking at the moment.

Oh I love hearing twin names!
I fell in love with the names Elliot and Rhett but I do like how Eli and Finn sound together... Great suggestions ladies
