I feel like I'm at the end of my rope.

LO2 (18 weeks) has had bronchiolitis for SIX WEEKS now. We've been to the doctor four times because of it - with the initial cold in early April, with a follow up 2 weeks later because he was much worse (when the bronchio diagnosis was made), and the past 2 weeks because there was no improvement whatsoever.

At the most recent appointment last Monday, our pedi prescribed an albuterol/nebulizer treatment. It's made a slight difference, but the coughing/wheezing/rattling are still definitely there. Dr. said at this point there's nothing else to do except wait it out, because it hasn't turned into pneumonia (no fever).

How much longer can this conceivably go on? Is it normal? Should I push for something - anything - else to be done or tested for? Both my brothers had childhood asthma, both my babies have eczema, and LO1 has had croup twice, so respiratory/inflammatory issues are rampant in his family medical history.

I feel so badly for him, and at this point for my toddler and for myself too. LO's sleep (always bad) is now horrendous, partly because of the cough and mostly now because he's hit the 4 month regression. He's clearly teething. He's a grumpy mess, and now I am too, and it's not fair to anyone.

Please tell me this is almost certain to resolve soon...
