If so, what are you doing?
LO will be 7m in December and although she doesn't get it, I've thought about doing the book a day Advent calendar. I read to her everyday around bedtime. Am I crazy? Should I wrap the books & make them look pretty? Or skip it altogether?

@emg86: I love advent calendars and especially the book one! I decided to skip it this year though. I WOH and life is hectic enough! My LO will be 9 months at Christmas. I think when he's 2 or 3 and really "gets it" it will be super fun.
Also, I can start building the book collection by shopping after Christmas clearance this year!!

My oldest is 5 and this is the first year we are doing an advent calendar - call me lazy but I would skip it at 7 months - haha

My son will be three this year and we're doing an Advent calendar for the first time.
I have the piece of the Little People Nativity that we will take from the calendar one by one. I don't know if he will be able to connect that to Christmas, but I feel like I have to start somewhere.

I just made one last weekend on my girl's trip. So even though she won't get it this year, I am going to put puffs in it for her every day. Then next year I am planning on putting the LP Nativity pieces in the boxes.

I plan on putting one up for the first time this year. DD will be 18 months. I know she won't understand, but I'm anxious to start traditions. I'm basically hanging up her socks and putting little gifts inside for her to open every day. Gifts will be very small items, like stickers, tiny Ikea stuffed animals and parts of the Lego house we got her for Christmas. I may even include snacks

Last year LO was 7 months and we skipped it. This year she will be 19 months, and we'll just replace our normal family devotion with one for our advent calendar.
