If your LO had the hiccups often when you were pregnant, did they also have them often after birth? My younger daughter had them ALL the time - at least once a day - when I was pregnant.
As a newborn she had them at least once a day too, starting in the hospital! She doesn't get them as often now but still does.

Yep, she had them several times a day in the womb and a couple times a day now at a month old.

she had them CONSTANTLY when i was pregnant, but not as much on the outside. I expected her to hiccup all day long based on how she was in the womb!

Yup! He had them ALL the time during my pregnancy and at least once a day for almost the first year of his life.
He's 2 now and still gets them when he laughs too hard lol

Yeah, DD had them every night when I was pregnant. And she had them a ton when she was a newborn. And she was colicky. I'm convinced it's all related.

I was never super sure what I was feeling when she was inside... But she sure hiccups a lot now! Several times a day and they take forever to go away!

Yes, she had them all the time in pregnancy and as a baby. She still gets them fairly frequently as a toddler.

Yup! She's 3 weeks and I feel so bad for her...if I got hiccups in the middle of the night that kept me awake I'd be pissed!

I never felt either of my kids hiccup in the womb and they rarely get them now, too!

Yep! And come to think of it, my second child who never had hiccups in the womb also super rarely gets them as an infant.

Yep! DS is 10 weeks old and has hiccups almost daily (as he gets bigger they are less frequent). The last month of pregnancy each morning he would wake me up with his hiccups and DH and I would lay there and feel them!

One twin gets them a lot in utero and the otger doesn't. I'll be curious to see how they compare once born.

Yes, he hiccuped all the time when I was pregnant. For the first couple months he got them between every feeding.
