When did it show up? LO's hair isn't super long but it is starting to get a little out of control sometimes. I have curly hair and DH has fairly curly hair when his hair is long so everyone is expecting her to at least have wavy hair (but hopefully little ringlets). Everyone asks us all the time if her hair is curling yet so I was just wondering around when this starts to show up? LO is currently almost 7 months old.

She was born with super dark, curly hair, and then it all fell out. It's now coming back blonde and wavy, but the waves didn't really show up until it got to the length it is now.

When LO gets out of the bath, and her hair isn't brushed, it's curly...but since it is so short you can't really tell. I have curly hair and I think DH would have wavy hair if he grew it out, so I know her hair won't be straight. When I was little, my curls were very definite around 2 years old when it started to get some length.

@Bao: Yeah, my LO's hair has some curl after her bath too. And I think mine showed up around 2 years too but I'm not sure and my mom can't remember.

my hair is super curly and it showed up when i was about 5 and lost all the super soft baby hair

I have curly hair, and I was bald until two, then I got big ringlets, at 7 it straightened out from head lice medicine, and it started to curl again at 10.

All of my girls have my curly hair and have had it since birth.

Why yes,yes she does. It was off a build a bear that her older sister made for her. I am not sure why we put it in her though,lol

I'd say curls showed up around 5 months

As soon as it was long enough to curl, which, since she was a baldy forever, was around maybe 18 months or so. Might have been closer to 20. She didn't have hair for-ev-er, but once it came in, it started curling. Now it's just a mess of curls. When it's wet, it's down to her shoulders, but when it's dry it's all close to her head like a clown wig!

I am not sure that it is age related. I always thought it was when it got long enough to tell. For us that was around month 6.

@Rock n Roll: That is exactly what mine was like as a kid. I don't think my hair touched my shoulders when it was dry until I was 6 or 7.

Here's some pics- 18 months was when she first got hair, not really curly yet. 23 months in the next pic, when it was starting to curl on the ends. A couple weeks before she turned 3 in the last pic, Super curls! Pretty much the same today, maybe a little bit longer.
@mrsmenow: That's how my sister's hair was, too!
