I don't think we'll be getting anything for our 10 month old...he mostly enjoys exploring the apartment and boxes right now anyway. I feel a tad bit guilty but it just doesn't seem like he'll even know and were waiting for the next few milestones to be able to get him some new toys (like a push/walk thingamajig). We kinda hope to keep Christmas simple in general with maybe 1 special toy, Xmas pjs and a book as our tradition every year. What are you ladies doing?

LO will be turning one a bit before Christmas and we are getting her one birthday gift and one Christmas gift. They are both things I was going to buy for her anyway - blocks and a Blabla doll. Nothing extravagant since she'd probably like an empty box or a chance to pet the cat more than anything I could buy for her.

Yes. I bought her a couple of dolls. I wanted to buy them earlier but figured I would just wait for Christmas.

Ours will be about 10 months next Christmas and I think we'll end up doing a small gift or 2 (so my family doesn't give me a super hard time) but nothing big since she won't know the difference!

Yes, we did since our family comes over to our house to open presents on Xmas morning.

She'll only be 4 weeks so nope! But I'm already planning a radio flyer for her 1st bday next Nov and a PB Kids anywhere chair for next Christmas!

DD will be 9 weeks old at Christmas and we bought her two books for bedtime, a romper in 3-6, one of those half-stuffed rabbit/half-blanket dealies, and the Minnie Mouse Interactive play gym which was her big gift. We might buy her a new SwaddleMe and some more PJ's, but otherwise we're done because we know everyone else has already gotten her a lot.
Spoiled little princess over here, lol.

We do small presents and things that I buy for them anyway, like winter hats, mittens, and tiny little toys for the stocking. Basically if I buy anything around the holiday time I put it into the stocking. Now that Wagon Jr. is almost 3, he will have his first presents from Santa and Mommy and Daddy this year! I suppose we'll have to do presents for Jodie from us too, and Santa, because he'll see it!

Last Christmas LO was only 1.5 months so we didn't get her anything except for an ornament.
This year she'll be 13.5 months and we aren't getting her anything big...just another ornament, lots of books, pjs, and some stocking stuffers

I have a ton of things I would love to get him but unfortunately we are just too poor now! We'll just do a few things and hope the grandparents come through with the good stuffs! I think my mom got him an exersaucer...! So glad because right now we really can't afford those things. Not until his medical bills stop coming in!

I got him a few small things...a Build a Bear (dressed as a Pittsburgh Pirate with our last name embroidered on the uniform), an Angel Dear blanket, a book and a few small toys. I know it's silly because he'll only be 4.5 months old, but it was things I was planning on getting for him anyway, I'm just wrapping them and putting them under the tree for my own benefit.

Yes we will get her a few gifts and I know my parents are getting her some stuff. Sure she won't know the difference but its all stuff I'd end up buying anyway (clothes, toys)

Absolutely, a few small things, since it is a special day. The grandmas went wild already, so we don't have to do very much. He will mostly be into the boxes and wrapping paper at almost a year old, but I can't wait to take photos!

She'll only be 7 weeks old but we'll get her a few things. It's more of a thrill for us than her, obviously, but I can't wait to wrap up and label her first Christmas presents and take some pictures of her with them

We like to open presents so, she'll have a few things I was planning on getting her anyways - some clothes, books and a music table we got used.

LO will be 1 on the 26th so we will be giving her Christmas presents on the 25th and birthday presents on the 26th.

Last year when lo was a baby we got her a chanukah book and Cd. They weren't expensive and they were things she could use in the future.
This year lo is 16 months and we got her 8 gifts for chanukah. They're all inexpensive because she doesn't know what a gift is.... when she gets older we'll do 7 inexpensive gifts and one nicer one. We had the first night of chanukah last night at my moms and she LOVED it. She got tons of gifts from family, one gift from us, and she unwrapped her gifts and played with her presents. So glad we decided to do gifts this year.

We absolutely will next year. I can't imagine the rest of the family exchanging gifts and not having any for her. I couldn't stop my parents if I tried anyway. I'm sure we'll get her toys and maybe some stuff she needs/we need for her.

Yes, we are getting her gifts but most of them are very practical. Blocks are her main "fun" present. But I also got her a sheet set , a plate/bowl set and new bibs. It was mostly an excuse to justify spending a little more on some nice (long lasting) items that I know she'll use for years, but probably wouldn't normally spend the money on.

Libby-Jane will be 20 months on Christmas. We've gotten her things that she can grow into and love until her birthday. Things that she would use anyways such as art supplies, clothes, a few basic toys, and some puzzles. My grandma does an advent calendar for her each year and she's enjoyed opening her small presents, so I'm sure Christmas is going to be tons of fun!

@aMohror: thanks for posting this! Someone else had mentioned this elsewhere on HB and now I don't have to go searching! We are going to do the same thing for our LO...now I just have to figure out what we will be getting!
