I actually prefer the way I photograph in dresses than pants and such, so I would do a dress.

I think either option would be fine. If DH was in jeans, I'd probably go with the jeans/lace/blazer. If he was in khakis, I'd probably go with a dress.

Whichever you feel more comfortable in/feel that you look better in. Either would be fine.
