My mom watches DS and I've had to tell her the same thing about the ipad. She's been good about it after the first couple times. She says her thing is that he whines for it and she hates saying no, but she's been getting at disciplining.

I need to get activities/crafts/etc. together now that DS is getting older. I can't wait for spring/summer, so they can spend time outdoors!

My mom watches DS and it's kind of the same story. With the weather outside getting warmer, I think they'll spend more time outside. DS loves being outside. I also make suggestions like taking him to the park or running errands. There is only so much we can do! I know he is not just parked in front of the tv - its background noise.

@looch: Yes! My LO is becoming quite the helper. She especially loves to help (and un-fold) laundry!

Even though we do have the t.v. on most of the weekend, I am usually running around the house with LO. She rarely spends more than an hour tops actually watching t.v. Well, I take that back . . . sometimes she watches a little t.v. (usually Mickey Mouse Clubhouse) while she eats dinner . . . so about 1.5 hours tops. Maybe that's too much, but, I'm not gonna stress about it.
