Where are you going? DH and I are trying to decide where to go on Valentine's Day but I'm guessing everywhere is going to be swamped. There is a Mexican restaurant in our little town, that may not be as busy as some other areas around us. Or maybe we will settle on McDonalds 
Any inspiration for me?

@Bao: we made reservations at a Brazilian steakhouse. Going out on vday with no reservations is scary to me! I hate crowds and waiting

@Bao: most restaurants do. I'm not sure about chains though? I honestly haven't gone out on vday in a couple of years!

@yellowbird: I've never been out on Valentine's day in my whole like I don't think?! The restaurant here in our town is one DH works at a few nights a week so I'm sure they can help us out either way or like I said, fast food

We're going to a nice, reservations - only place on Friday.
On VDay we're going to a fast service fish restaurant featured on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives. It's affiliated with a park that is the site of our kayak activity. I'm hoping everyone else wants a fancy dinner otherwise we may have a long wait on our hands.

Just made a reservation for a fairly nice but mid range priced Italian restaurant for Friday. I went on Opentable and searched what places in our area had open reservations and chose between those 5 or so places. We usually eat at middle of the road chains (like tgi Fridays, Olive Garden, Red Lobster) but those don't take reservations and we're sure they'll be way too packed. We've been meaning to try something locally run so who knows, it may end up being our new favorite place. They just called to confirm our reservation which was very nice of them. Good so far!

We're just going to go super early around 4 or so with DS to Red Robin 
We have a gc to use and I have no desire to celebrate big this year!

@Bao: that might work to your advantage! Last year we ordered out and we still waited 1.5 hours to pick up our food!!!! Never again!
