I always always ALWAYS root for the original couple!! Even if the other guy is better than the original guy. (it seems like it's always the girl choosing guy!)

hm.. I don't think so. I always liked the idea of Rachel & Joey and Gilmore Girls I ALWAYS liked Jess over Dean. Sookie and Eric instead of Bill. haha I'm a freak.

Rachel and Ross for sure! Carrie and Big, yes, but definitely Charlotte and Harry from SATC over...Trey? I think that was her 1st husband's name.
Anybody watch Glee? Definitely not Finn and Quinn; I like him with Rachel. (also I think Quinn is one of the most unlikable characters out of any show around)

I actually often don't root for the original couple... their story is too boring most of the time? I feel like the non-original couples often have something more exciting to their story/attraction. Like Joey & Pacey... they were so cute together. I guess my only exception is Carrie & Big (not Aiden).

I'm with some of you ladies in that I think I like to pick and choose.
Rachel and Ross? Yes. Rory and Dean? NO! Rory and Jess! Carrie and Big for sure! Sookie and Eric absolutely (who wouldn't choose him over bill if given the chance?)

Haha no! I loved Joey & Pacey, Buffy & Spike (although I thought Angel was a win as well...Spike only wins because of the accent), Sookie & Eric (every time Bill said "Sookeh is muhine" I wanted to throw something at the screen), Rory & Jess, Chuck & Blair, Veronica & Logan, and I'm not caught up so I don't know if it's a thing yet but Elena & Damon.
The only original couple I liked more is Ross & Rachel.

@sorrycharlie - I know, I know... Most people quit when Izzie started seeing dead Denny. It was bad for a little bit bc of that, but this season has actually been really good!
