@Leialou: DH wasn't told anything about exercise. One of my friend's DH was told not to ride his bike. He liked to do long distance bike rides (both road bike and mountain bike) and he was told not to.

I was told not to exercise while I was on injectibles and during the TWW after IUI. That means that I can only exercise during AF, which really sucks!

So for the past few days I have been in a TTC rut, and feel like I'm just "going through the motions". I kindof feel like its a job! I have a checklist of various supplements to take and things I've been told to do daily. My pills are up to 15 (!) as of yesterday, plus herb tea 2x/day, plus moxibustion. And when I get a +OPK I was told to eat 1/5 of a pineapple for 5 days. This better all be worth it!

@Leialou: Here is the article from yesterday:

Of course trust your doctor unless you have a reason not to though!

@Mrs.Someone: Uh, I'm really stubborn and haven't tested. Mostly because it's almost physically impossible, given all the bleeding and invasive procedures and lack of BD. (Nothing puts you in the mood like constant bleeding and having things jammed up your privates)

@spaniellove: Yep, I get it. But its an easy thing to rule out at least? Looking at your chart you do have some chance...

@spaniellove: "Nothing puts you in the mood like constant bleeding and having things jammed up your privates" - a good quote for infertility I hope AF shows up soon for you!

@Mrs.Someone: I've been in a rut too. I tried to initiate BD after the IUI, but I just wasn't feeling it and neither was he. I feel like when the act of lovin' feels like a chore, then it's better not to do it. BTW, 15 pills are a LOT!

@Mrs.Someone: Aww, I'm sorry. I have had those kinds of ruts before. Maybe try going out to dinner or doing some cool date night to remind you guys of the attraction you guys have might help?
@spaniellove: Hope AF shows up for you soon.

As for me, I woke up with some diarrhea (sorry TMI). I though it was something I ate but I don't think that's it. Then I thought it was the Femera but I took that last dose days ago. Then I realized it was probably from the trigger shot. Ehhh, yuck. I'll tell my dr today when I go in for the IUI.

I'm current in my acupuncture's office waiting to be seen. My IUI is scheduled in two hours. The DH is one his way to make a deposit. All is well. Well besides the tummy issues.

@sweetooth: Actually, this has nothing to do with BD or DH at the moment, just the feeling that I'm working so hard for a goal and I'm not sure that my heart is even in it at the moment.

@bluestriped bee: Thanks for the suggestions We have a weekly "date night", though it hasn't been that exciting for a while based on DH's busy-ness at work. But we've made more of an effort to get out and do stuff. We have a special dinner coming up for our dating anniversary (at the place we got married). And I bought Cirque du Soleil tickets for the following weekend

Sorry to hear about the yucky-ness today! Hopefully you're in a relaxing acupuncture appointment at the moment, then have a promising IUI experience. So jealous of your TWW trip

Just came out of my acupuncture appt. I feel relax.

But just got a text from the DH that said "This isn't working."

Uh oh. I asked how he was doing and no reply yet.

ETA: He called me. He doesn't think he can do it. The clinic said that he can go home and try it at home. It will push my IUI appt back.

Guess the only thing to do next is to wait and hope.

@bluestriped bee: Hold on to that relaxed feeling from accupuncture. I'm thinking good thoughts for you and your husband!

@Mrs.Someone: I can relate there too. Sometimes I feel like I've lost myself in all of this. And when you have this much time put in to making a baby with no results, you begin to really think too much about it all. I have moments where I wonder if all of this is worth it. I don't think I would get to that point if I could just get pregnant with a few months of BD, and no medical intervention.

Take care of you. And enjoy your upcoming dinner and Cirque du Soleil!

  26. BSB

hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts

@marionberry: Yeah, I was so glad, too. Numbers were all good. 30.4 million in his sample, speed and motility were all 4s.

Thank you everyone! I'm officially in the TWW!!! Now I get to relax in Maui. We are leaving in a couple hours.

Tomorrow! I'm starting my stims! Hopefully everything goes okay at my b/w+u/s tomorrow morning, so I can start my injections tomorrow evening, and then I'll go back Tues, Thurs, and Sat, and then my egg retrieval will be the week after that. This is happening!

@marionberry: I must be extra hormonal already. I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes because I've waited so many months to start IVF.

  33. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@spaniellove: Not hormonal..it's just a big step and you're finally there! I was like that when our IUI worked...just bawled because I had finally gotten the one thing that seemed impossible to attain. So you'll cry now and you'll cry when it works.

@bluestriped bee: Very exciting! Enjoy that wonderful TWW in Maui

I just got wonderful news - I called our RE's office to just check to see about an earlier appt (we have one for May 1st) and they had just had a cancellation for Feb 19th! I snatched it right up - and then she called me back as I was strolling through Target and said they had another cancellation Monday. As in, in 3 days!! I'm so excited! I just went from waiting 3 months to 3 days! I came back to work and told my boss about it for the first time so hopefully that will take some of that stress off too! I'm excited/nervous/anxious all at the same time
