@spaniellove: Wow! That's crazy about having to order so much medicine. We could not have afforded that. I'm glad you've finally made injections pain free though. I would've had to keep making DH do them.

@sweetooth: what are your symptoms? Have you read the post about TWW symptoms by day? That gave me hope while I was waiting. There's also a TWW website which is fun to read.
nectarine / 2705 posts
@marionberry: Right now it's only sore boobs. I also had a twinge on Saturday that I wish/hope was implantation. It did start earlier this time than last month. But other than that - nothing. I used to spend way too much time on TWW sites. I think when it has taken this long to ever see a positive test, that I have given up on "finding myself" in anyone else's symptoms. I think everyone is different, so no one's symptoms give me hope. (I'm not hopeless yet though

@Leialou: @spaniellove: Thank you! We both thought it went really well. We're doing a CD 3 blood draw and then going to do shots/IUI. I'm a little concerned that CD 3 will fall on a weekend but I'm sure they are prepared for that happening I'm guessing it will be a BIG blood draw, gotta prepare for that!
@sweetooth: Thank you - I'll have to look into those! I'll do anything to relax. Especially since my RE said to limit my working out to 30 minutes of walking on the treadmill 3 times a week. I wonder if I could do yoga or not?
@sweetooth: Also - I try to remind myself that LOTS of women don't feel any symptoms until well after their BFP - it makes me feel better Good luck!!
pomelo / 5041 posts
@sweetooth: Sore boobs was one of my primary symptoms. It was different from my normal TWW boobs because instead of feeling sore on the sides, they felt sore all over. There was no mistaking it or having to check if they were sore. Crossing my fingers for you!

@Mrs.VW: Good luck with your IUI! My cd3 blood draw only took 3 small vials, so it shouldn't worry you too much. I do think it depends on the doctor though.
apricot / 460 posts
@marionberry: Well that's good to know! Did it take awhile to get your results back? I'm anxious to get started
pomelo / 5041 posts
@Mrs.VW: Not at all. My CD3 results (well most of them) came back in about 2 hours (and they were even done on a Saturday). Because it was the weekend, they had to send my AMH and Vit D results out to a reference lab, so I didn't hear back about them for almost a week. I ended up low on thyroid and Vit D so now take supplements for both, but the bigger fertility related hormones (AMH, FSH, Estradiol, etc.) all came back normal.

@Mrs.VW: Glad to hear your appointment went well! I've been doing yoga. It also helps with the relaxing. I think as long as you stay away from the hot yoga you are ok. But as always, check with your doctor. (and thanks for the good luck!)
@marionberry: Thank you!

Hi ladies, I have been taking a break from the boards but just wanted to catch up on how you all are doing. I usually check in on HB multiple times per day, and I must admit that stepping away for most of the past week has been a good thing for my emotional well-being. But I did miss you all!!! I have skimmed through the past week's post, but want to read everything more carefully. I am thinking of you all!

Hello ladies! I'm back from Hawaii. It was a nice trip and a nice start to my TWW. I'm 7 DPO.

@bluestriped bee: That's awesome - you're over half way done!
@marionberry: Great! That's encouraging news! I just signed us up for the shots class today so we'll go to that on March 5th. It's bizarre - but I'm excited for a SHOTS class!
@sweetooth: That's great! I think I will do that at least once a week if not two. I can do it Tues and Fri before work so that feels like a good balance. But I'll double check with my RE just to be sure. Thanks for the advice!

@bluestriped bee: Yay!! Welcome back!
Ladies, Ijust began my TWW and I have a quick question. I know that progesterone taken orally would definitely affect my BBT, but what about if I'm using it vaginally? My obgyn said earlier that progesterone taken vaginally wouldn't show up in a blood test, so that leads me to believe that it shouldn't affect my overall body temp either. Any thoughts? Is it worth temping during this TWW?
pomelo / 5228 posts
@ineebee: I'm a bit confused that your doc said that taken vaginally wouldn't show up in a blood test? If it wouldn't show up in blood, then I wouldn't think its doing anything for you at all. The reason I was told to take it vaginally instead of orally is because the side effects would be less. Maybe thats because its physically closer to the ovaries? I don't really know. But it will definitely affect your BBT either way, otherwise it wouldn't be working. I was told to take it vaginally, and the doc said she would want to see my charts to see how its doing. She also mentioned testing blood once I get pregnant to see that its high enough.

@bluestriped bee: welcome back TWW buddy! Now how on earth do we survive week two?!
@ineebee: I stopped charting about 6 months ago now. Sometimes I think about picking it back up to feel more informed, but I was having a hard time with the temperature drops and my period arriving every month, instead of a BFP. Now I am just embracing hope, and waiting for the bloodwork results. We'll see if I'm singing a different tune next month.

Hey there lovely ladies Just wanted to pop in and say, "Wassup" and to let you know that I'm lurking around here and there. It's still a bit hard to come back and view all things baby since my ectopic in January. My betas are slowly slowly going down and hopefully they'll be at 0 this Satuday when I go in for bloodwork for the millionth time. Had to get a methotrexate shot a week after surgery b/c my levels weren't going down. I hate this so much. I actually feel physically fine and DH and I are both ready to TTC again - it's the waiting to get there that makes it difficult. I think we may just jump right in for another round of clomid + IUI when my next period comes but not sure yet.
Anyway, I want to let you know I am thinking of everybody and have FX that there'll be good news on this board soon
pomelo / 5041 posts
@MK0180: It's so good to hear from you. Your ectopic was really sad, especially given your struggle to get pregnant. My heart ached for you. I'm sorry that your beta levels have taken so long to go down, but I pray they're at 0 for you soon too! I would definitely say jump straight into IUI+Clomid again since it worked so well last time. The odds are that you would have a perfectly happy, healthy pregnancy and I really wish that for you! We miss you on the September Mamas board.

@Mrs.VW: @ineebee: Thank you!
@sweetooth: I don't know! I'm trying to forget the 14 DPO date so I don't count down the days and symptom spot.

Hello everyone! I'm new to Hellobee, but it's because of this board that I joined! I don't have much support in going through my trial of infertility and I felt like this is exactly what I need right now. DH and I have been trying for nearly a year without success and all sorts of strange things happening to my body. AF showed up late last night and today I'm home from work sick as a dog and having a rough time coping with yet another let down! I'd be happy to give some background - thanks for creating this board!

@mrs.halfsie: welcome!! I've been trying for almost a year as well (April). I also have basically zero support IRL (except DH, of course) because I haven't really told anyone we're TTC. This board has been invaluable to me this year, and I hope it will be to you, too!
Have you gone to any doctors or do you have any known issues? We're about to pick an RE at the one year mark, but so far my only diagnosis is hypothyroidism.
pomelo / 5041 posts
@mrs.halfsie: Welcome! This board is pretty much the only thing that got me through my infertility struggle. I hope we can all be of help and assistance to you during this rough time.
@shutterbug: Have they checked your thyroid again yet? Are you getting excited for your April RE visit? I go in for my latest thyroid check on the 26th. Praying it's exactly where it needs to be.

@shutterbug, @marionberry: thank you! We've been pretty open with our struggle in ttc, but we live far away from family. Most of them don't understand and I think ignore it as it makes them uncomfortable. Anyhow, I've actually been to an RE due to some mid-cycle spotting that started when we first started ttc. Still happening - we ran all the tests (all normal) and no answers. RE wanted us to jump straight into Clomid/IUI, but we figured we would try naturally until we hit our one year mark. I'm working with a naturopathic doctor in the meantime and I get my first set of test results back this Saturday. Hopefully we'll get some answers! The only known issue right now is that I was underweight. I've gained nearly 10 pounds since we started and hoping for better luck!
grapefruit / 4703 posts
@marionberry: Not yet - this time (after the dosage increase) they wanted to wait 8 weeks to let it really kick in. I read someone on here (parkerhaus maybe?) said it took her like a year to get her thyroid level in check, and I can see why. I'm super excited to go to the RE!
pomelo / 5041 posts
@mrs.halfsie: We did Clomid + IUI and it worked on our first try. Wishing you the best of luck!
@shutterbug: It makes sense about giving it a longer time to work. My original (after being sick) reading was 2.9 and then after trying to eat better and coming back in a month in a half it was down to 2.59 (which surprised me) so now I just need to get it down at least .1. They put me on synthetic because they don't want any swings while you're pregnant, but I'm really curious to see how much or little it affects my numbers.

@mrs.halfsie: Welcome! I'm happy to see someone else here on the natural path before trying meds. I've been seeing a fertility acupuncturist and a naturopath for a few months. My naturopath tested me for MTHFR and thyroid antibodies (I already knew I was hypothyroid). Turns out I also have MTHFR, which is very likely what was causing me to not conceive (and caused a m/c). Do you know what your doc tested you for? Keep us updated on your test results, I hope you finally get some helpful answers.
olive / 63 posts
@marionberry: thank you, that gives me hope for the next step!
@mrs.someone: thank you! I was also seeing an acupuncturist, but stopped since it may have been contributing to my spotting. I'm not sure of all the tests (there was a lot of blood taken!) but some of the tests were anemia, gluten sensitivity, some hormone levels, among others. I know my doctor is also very aware of genetic factors as well, so that might be tested later on. I'll definitely post after my appt. this weekend!

@Mrs. Someone @Sweetooth Thanks for your replies! Maybe I heard my doctor wrong about progesterone not affecting the blood test results. In any case, I'm just gonna keep temping unless I find a really good reason not to. It's interesting and I like to play with the data!
pomelo / 5228 posts
@mrs.halfsie: I saw your post on the other thread, I would've stopped acupuncture too if I were spotting mid-cycle! Sounds like the tests your doc is doing is a great start.
@ineebee: Good plan! Its always helpful to see what your temps are doing

Hi all, I am also a newcomer here. My DH and I have been trying for a year this month. At this point I have no clue why we haven't gotten pregnant. I met with my OB this week and just went in for day 3 blood work to start to get some answers. Anyways this has been a rather difficult and lonely journey. Literally all of my married friends have gotten pregnant this year and I could really use a place to talk about this process with people who get it:) Thanks for sharing your stories.

@Suzimo: welcome to you too! Good luck with your CD3 BW - I hope you get some answers soon

@Suzimo: Welcome! It can feel so lonely, but I'm glad you found this community! I've only been posting on here for a few days, but I can tell you for sure that you are in very good company.

@Suzimo: @mrs.halfsie: Welcome! I hope you guys don't have to stay too long.
As for me, I have been so moody. I was moody the night before we left Hawaii. I was moody about an hour ago. Today, I was stressed at work so that's probably the reason for today's outburst. Then, of course, I went to google to see if anyone was moody before their BFP. Guess what popped up... my own HB thread. http://boards.hellobee.com/topic/was-anyone-moody-before-bfp
Ugh, I posted that 10 months ago! That's so depressing. Infertility sucks!
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
Now because I'm already in a crappy mood, I decided to make it even worse by looking back at my first couple threads I started on HB.
http://boards.hellobee.com/topic/lets-start-an-official-ttc-ntnt-list
*Tear* I started that thread 17 months ago when I announced we officially started TTC. So sad...
Ok, I'm done. Going to go cheer myself up by watching my favorite movie.
pomelo / 5041 posts
@bluestriped bee: moodiness can certainly be a pregnancy sign! I had to all out emotional mess moments just days before my bfp and I am rarely that emotional.

Just wanted to pop in and say Happy Valentine's Day!!
I'm still stopping by now and then to read the thread but am otherwise enjoying my little technology break.
As for me - it's Clomid Round 2, I ovulated yesterday (I think), and will either POAS or get AF on my 31st birthday --- OY.
I hope everyone has a fantastic V-Day!!

@MK0180: "wassup" right back atcha Good to hear from you. I hope that you're able to jump back in soon. And that you're taking good care of yourself.
@mrs.halfsie: Welcome to the thread This is a great source of support. I'm glad you said hello so we can offer support to you too! I hope you get some good information at your appointment this weekend.
@Suzimo: Welcome to the thread It's totally frustrating to reach that year mark, especially when it seems like everyone around you is getting pregnant. Hopefully we can help you feel less lonely as you make your way to your very own BFP
@bluestriped bee: Infertility totally sucks. Don't look back though, you're moving forward and you're going to get there! Hope you enjoyed your favorite movie - what is it?
@alie: Happy Valentine's Day to you too! And I vote for a BFP on your birthday.

Hey guys, sorry for not keeping up. I had a difficult appointment yesterday with the IVF. It's not easy to talk about all of this other than to say that this gets pretty draining and sometimes it's so easy to lose hope.
