I'm dying to get a job and be a WOHM. Problem is I'm 11 weeks along with #2. Has anyone ever been in this spot? Were you able to find a place that would hire you? I feel like I have to tell an employer if I were to be offered a job, and I just feel like that would be the kiss of death....

I was 34 weeks when I was hired into my new position! It was a bit of a different situation because I moved departments, but I still had to interview, etc. I was so scared to try because of how far along I was, but they wanted me enough that it didn't matter!
So, go for it! You never know unless you try, yeah?

I'm totally interested in hearing the responses to your situation, as I'm in a similar one!
I'm almost 6 weeks, and I work in a job that is stressful and has a super long commute. I can't imagine doing that commute in my 3rd tri, much less when I have an infant at home and am (hopefully) breastfeeding. So I've been applying for jobs.
While it's still early days, if I were to interview now, I wouldn't say anything, as I wouldn't even be telling my current boss yet. The tricky thing is, do you tell if you get an offer, just to let them know that you'll need time off, and to make sure that you'll have a job to come back to, as I wouldn't qualify for FMLA?
The Mr. keeps telling me that we'll cross that bridge when we come to it, but I'm a worrier, and that's harder for me to do!

I wouldn't tell them until you have an offer in hand, but I would definitely tell them before you accept the offer. For one, you need to start out with a certain level of trust on both sides and not telling them can really screw that up. Also, you will need to negotiate for maternity leave since you probably won't be covered by FMLA or STD.

I would wait until I have an offer, let them know, and think about coming back earlier than usual because you won't have FMLA.

I was 8 months pregnant when I interviewed. I did receive the position but declined because they wanted to push my start date a week before my DD's due date.
I did not disclose until I was formally offered the position in writing that I was pregnant and I only disclosed this to HR since they were reviewing my benefits package.
Just remember that you may not be eligible for FMLA when you start your position.
