We have one that is a box made by Melissa and Doug but isn't made any more. Maybe try eBay.

@jmarionsmith: Yeah, I saw that one too but that's not really what I had in mind I didn't think of calling it a latches board though- I'm going to use that to search!

@runsyellowlites: How weird...I searched busy board on Etsy and nothing came up! That's more along the lines of what I was thinking but I really think that I can buy more hardware than that for that price! I guess I'll have to go to the store and price stuff to have hard evidence for DH lol.

@Running Elley: That's what I would do too!!! Figure it can't really cost that much, can it?And it seems all the tools you'd really need are a drill?.. figure you don't really need a cool shape of wood for the foundation? idk, I'm not really a diy builder. lol

@runsyellowlites: That's what I'm thinking. Plus we have a wood desk that we're getting ready to trash anyway. Sooooo we could just use wood from there. I'd just have to buy the actual latches and then DH can make it lol. I'm pretty sure I've decided. The ones that I found on etsy that were comparable to what I want are over $100!

@Running Elley: DH made one for my nephews bday. I actually found some of the locks/latches still in packages at our local goodwill.

@hummusgirl: I like that theirs is pretty flat and easy to store but my Daughter loves the box because she can hide things behind the doors.
