I started spotting last night before bed. It was lighter reddish in color and literally for 3 wipes...and hasn't came back. I'm not sure what to think of this? As I am also worried for the worst. Would you go in to urgent care today if this was you? I don't know what to do

Does your OB have an off hours phone number to call? I don't think urgent care centers tend to have ultrasounds.
I had the exact same thing during my sixth week. They never found out what caused it and just chalked it up to a sensitive cervix. Try not to worry!

I had the same thing at 6 weeks and called my doctor. They said it's pretty normal, but to call back if it kept up or turned bright red. Do you have an off hours number to call? I would contact the office first.

If you can, it's probably good to come for peace of mind. But I had the same thing at 9 weeks after walking way too much. Everything was fine.

I had red blood at 6 weeks and 8 weeks, which turned into spotting that lasted a week. He's 8 months now. I would probably try to get an ultrasound for peace of mind but spotting is totally normal and most likely nothing to worry about.

I think most urgent care centers are unlikely to do anything for you. I would call the answering service for your OB or midwife.

Thanks everyone! I ended up going to the urgent care at the hospital i go to this morning and had everything checked out. They did a ultrasound and the baby had a heartbeat of 160 and was growing right on track, so that was very reassuring, and dr said everything looked ok. I noticed the baby didnt seem to really be moving though during the ultrasound? i didnt eat much of anything prior to going in...so im hoping that was the reason. Im just trying to stay positive even after "good news". I have another check up with my ob this week and will feel better then.

So glad everything is ok. I was just going to say that in my pregnancy with DD, I had random spotting throughout the pregnancy and everything was always ok. Best wishes for a healthy pregnancy.

@Mrs.Hawk71: Glad everything is okay! I had spotting (brown and red) at 6 weeks with this pregnancy. I had an ultrasound and we saw the heartbeat. The tech said there was a small bleed, but it was gone by 11 weeks. I'm 14.5 weeks now with a seemingly healthy baby. Hang in there!

@Mrs.Hawk71: Hey - I'm glad everythings ok. I'm 9 weeks too and had the same exact thing happen this past Wednesday. I chalked it up to breakthrough bleeding, since it was so close to when my period would have happened.
