We started potty training two weeks ago this coming Thursday. LO (26 months) has done exceptionally well with it. She has had 3 accidents total since day 2, been dry for naps since day 1, and only woken up wet in the morning once. She's great about letting us know when she needs to go. I'm a little concerned about how long she can hold it, though. We didn't take the pushing liquids approach because we've never been able to get her to drink when she doesn't want to. She's been able to drink as much as she wants the whole time. Her drinking habits haven't changed at all. However, especially in the afternoon/evenings, she will hold it for like 5 hours! Today she peed as soon as she woke up from her nap at 3, had a snack and drank as much as she wanted all evening, and still hadn't gone by the time I put her in the bath at 8. I made her sit on the potty several times over the course of the evening, and I'm assuming she just peed in the tub. Does this seem like something I should be concerned about? It seems like she's just too good at it at this age, and stage in the process. Someone reassure me that we're not headed to toddler UTI territory?
no UTIs yet!
LO isn't a fan of public restrooms. Though I have been able to get her to try, she will only actually pee at our pool... And I think it's because the toilets are regular sized, not huge ones like you normally see in a public restroom.
