Here is a mock up of our plan for the nursery--I know it is a lot of patterns, but I think many of them are being used in such small amounts that it will come together...at least I hope. Any input? Thanks 
BTW - The funny little painting with the two guys is a very small original piece of art that DH bought for me when we first found out we were expecting--it is small enough that I don't think it will mess with the overall scheme, and it has tremendous sentimental value.

I love all the chevron. If this were my nursery though, I would probably do a solid curtain instead of a patterned one.

I agree I like a solid curtain and maybe a different pattern for the sheet like a stripe or polka dot. I love it overall though!

Everything coordinates. Try to repeat at least one print and one solid solid three times throughout the room. Three will make things look purposeful...lamp base/ shade, crib skirt, changing pad, decorative pillow, hamper, toy basket, curtain or part of curtain, paint, accent furniture...just repeat it.

Yes, my only suggestion is a solid curtain. Otherwise I really like it!
Young House Love recently had a whole explanation about why they chose certain patterns for their big girl room, I found it really helpful.

Thanks for the input, everyone! The curtains may be a bit much--I've already ordered the fabric for them, but can reuse them in another room in the apartment if it simply doesn't work.
@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: That is a REALLY good idea about repeating fabric, and I definitely plan to make some matching pillows/other details out of leftover fabrics, if it all comes together.

I think it's really cute! The only change I would make is to change that rug- the green in it is really throwing me off. Maybe look for something similar in yellow/grey?

@Pink Champagne: It does look kind of green here--IRL it is more turquoise, pulling out the spots of turquoise from the owl pillow.

I LOVE the curtain...don't change it! I love chevron too, but I realized that you can really only do one thing in chevron. But I think if you choose a simpler rug, the rest will all go well together.

@Mrs Green Grass: Thank you!! Hoping once it is all set, the curtains will be OK--esp since they are gray/tan, not a crazy color. I may have to rethink the chevron explosion with the cribskirt/sheet/rug...I think I got a little chevron crazy

I vote for a simpler rug rather than a solid curtain. I'm not digging the green in the rug.

I like @MRS. LEMON-LIME 's comment about repeating colors/patterns 3 times. Maybe one way you could do it is to only have one color of wood - right now it looks like you have white crib and shelves but dark rocker and changing dresser - maybe make them all the same? I think it looks great!!

I think it's adorable and all spaced out it shouldn't look too busy.

how big is your nursery? if there's a lot of space in the room with gaps between all the patterns, it might work out.
