I am always sitting here for a least 30 minutes before seeing the doctor. So boring!

Not at all. It is a small practice with only one doctor, though. The only hold up is usually me trying to produce a urine sample.

I'm the same, at least 20 minutes, I just bring my Kindle and makes the time go by faster for sure!

I think the max I've ever had to wait was 30. Usually it's 15 mins or less. I do know July/August are big baby months...when I was leaving my last appointment the waiting room was crazy crowded!

I always took the earliest appointment of the day ...7:45 so I wouldn't have to wait for other patients. But my Dr. was late a few times!

Forty minutes is pretty standard. I always feel bad for my husband, who leaves work early to go to appointments, and then has to work at the kitchen table for another hour when we get home. Ohhhh well.

Yes and for quite some time too! It's annoying.
At my regular physician's office, we're brought back to the exam room quickly, but will be sitting in there for hours (no joke) until the doctor sees us. I know emergencies and extra questions from patients arise, but how do you get backed up for hours?!

@autumnlove: Same. I only attend appts first thing in the day.

I don't think I've ever waited for more than 10-15 minutes. I love my office!

I have been really lucky at my visits. Last pregnancy I did first appt of the day, this time around I'm shooting for last appt of the day and so far so good.

@autumnlove: I tried that but it doesn't help. He told me to take the first appt after their lunch break so I did that twice and it hasn't helped either. Boooo.

It definitely depends on what time I go, but I always bring a book to any appointment I have so I'm not bored!

Not usually although I waited nearly an hour one time, but was told it was because of an earlier emergency. Normally the wait is less than 10 minutes. Last visit they were waiting for me!

I usually have to wait about 30 minutes unless I get the first appt of the day which is rare.

Mine are super-fast! I head to the bathroom to give a sample when I get there, and at every appointment so far, I've been called before I got back. I pay for an hour at the meter and have never needed the whole thing (anatomy scan aside).

I always get called in on time but then I end up sitting in the exam room for a good 10-20 minutes. Which drives me crazy because I was overheated during pregnancy! One of their rooms is SO warm the one time I thought I was going to faint!

I almost never had to wait! And mostly I only had to wait if I was super early lol.

Usually about 30 minutes at mine. I actually remembered to bring a kindle today, so looking forward to getting out of work and reading the second book in the maze runner series!

I usually wait, even as the first appt of the day. 5-10 minutes in the waiting area, then 5-10 in the exam room. When I'm not the first appt, I have waited more than 30 minutes just in the exam room! Not an efficient practice.
On the other hand, I love when I go to the high-risk specialist. I didn't even have time to pick up a magazine before I was called in!

Mine is a small practice. I think the longest I’ve waited was 10 minutes. Closer to 5 is more the norm!

No, and I'm so pleased! They ask that you arrive 15 minutes early, so that's the most I ever have to wait, and then maybe 5-10 minutes in the internal waiting room after they bring you in to do blood pressure/weight etc. It's part of the same OB/GYN network I used to go to a long time ago where there was always an AWFUL wait. At least an hour! So I'm happy they're not at all the same.

Nope! I've never waited for more than 10 minutes. Love my OB

I go to a pretty big practice, but the wait isn't that bad and I have had first appointments and last appointments of the day. Usually within 5 min I go back and the nurses take my weight/blood pressure and have me pee in a cup (and occasional other quick testing, like iron). Then you go back to the waiting room and wait 5 or so minutes then they call you back to your room. At that point it just depends on how much my doctor is talking to the person in front of me, and that is usually the longest wait.

No, never! We visit in one of the midwives' homes or our home, and always have at least an hour of time devoted exclusively to us without any waiting line.
