I don't do very well in heat so I think the southern part of the US is out for me!

Anywhere colder than southern Michigan - or with more snow. This is my max!

Honestly it would be hard to convince me to live anywhere other than the midwest unless it was for a really awesome opportunity. I love the seasons, the for-the-most-part friendly people, and all the farmland. I would consider Florida because I have loved visiting there but I would miss winter!!

Anywhere other than the west coast. I can't deal with humidity and I'm not a fan of extreme heat or cold.

Pretty much anywhere on the East Coast or Deep South. I've lived in the midwest, Pacific Northwest, and California and would rather stay in one of those regions.

I'm perfectly happy here on the east coast - all 4 seasons, beach, mountains, and the people are friendly. I think I'd have a hard time with all of the rain in the pacific northwest.

I'm an east coast girl, for sure. I definitely couldn't do the Midwest. I could move to the west coast but I'd be reluctant.

Midwest, but I think I could do the great lakes area, like Michigan or Chicago.
Definite no on Kansas, Arkansas... like along Tornado alley. Tornados scare the crap out of me.

Alaska. To cold and couldn't deal with the lack of daylight for months.

@Smurfette: same! I have thin blood from living in SoCal for so long...I shudder to think of the cold!

I couldn't ever live in the south.
@ILoveLettie: I'm in the Midwest and have no intention of ever leaving. it here.

North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma. Just seem boring (I've driven through Kansas and Oklahoma and they were!).

Anywhere with lots of snow! I'll take a couple of "snow" days (aka 2 inches that shuts everything down), but actual snow all winter? No thanks! I'd much prefer heat and humidity any day!

Deep South (Bible belt) or any where without four seasons.

The list of places that I actually would live is shorter than where I wouldn't. Living in CA has spoiled me.

The desert... My IL's live in AZ and I am miserable any time I go. I have lived in TX my whole life and and I barely tolerate the heat now. I wish we could live in MI....

The South, but I used to live there. And most of the Midwest...I have nightmares about tornadoes. I'd be up for the (higher) Northeast, Southwest or West Coast, though. (I live in the Mid-Atlantic). I think I could also do the upper Midwest...D's company is based out of MN, and it's on the list of places we could end up moving to someday.

It'd have to be a reeeeeaaaally compelling reason to make me leave the east coast but I think the last place I'd want to be would be the Midwest.

Anywhere colder than here... Alaska? Lol
I probably wouldn't move to Texas either- just too hot. But close to the shoreline wouldn't be too bad. Florida, Alabama, most of the Midwest like SD, ND, Nebraska and Kansas.

@rachiecakes: Oh man that was me for years and now I live in this hellhole. I love my town but the rest of this state is terrible.
I couldn't live in a small town either, regardless of location.

I can't be too far from the beach. So that leaves a lot of the US that I have no desire to live in.

Places other than the PNW, and really just Seattle and Portland, both for political and weather reasons. It is so mild here, weather wise, and I love the rain.
GOLD / wonderful pomegranate / 28905 posts
@meganmp: omg. I hate hate hate rain. I could not live in Seattle. No, thank you.

Florida, and most of the south that is super hot and humid all the time. Anywhere TOO cold in the winter. Mid west, tornado alley, no thanks. I like the east coast and seasons, and I'd consider CA, but they aren't much cheaper than the east so there'd be no reason move for me. Yeah, I dont think I'd really live anywhere by the north east.

@rachiecakes: A guy I work with lived in Florida for a long time and left because he could no longer deal with Florida Man: https://twitter.com/_FloridaMan
I pretty much hate anything having to do with humidity which rules out most of the country, haha. I don't know if it's humid in Texas but I wouldn't really want to live there, either. Or in Arizona. So basically, the only place I'd really ever want to live is anywhere west of the Rocky Mountains.

I have no interest in living in FL, and yet here I am. Born and raised. Never to escape.

I'm an east coast/ mid Atlantic girl for sure and don't think I would ever stray far from Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, etc. No big cities for me either thanks!
