@Mrs. High Heels: I was telling Mrs. Pen when she was here how I have started to think of myself like a character almost. Sometimes I will start to write a reply and then think, "But Mrs. Twine would NEVER say that. She is too compassionate." Then I think, "Wait a minute you numbskull. You ARE Mrs. Twine. Dur." But I think I must be nice and compassionate. At least a little. I mean, I don't fake it or anything. You, however, are just too nice for words. Honestly I find you intimidating a little. I think of you like a cooler, older sister who I look up to.
@Arden: You are who I would be if I were cool.
GOLD / grapefruit / 4555 posts
@Mrs. Twine: That's it exactly. It's less celebrity status when I think of the bloggers, more like cooler older sisters whom I look up to, try to emulate, and not look like an ass in front of in the hopes of some positive attention.
Aaaand I need to get a life because that sounded lame. But I'm tying to break my 'deleting' comment habit.

@NaturallyCathy: Well if it makes you feel any better, the stain came out pretty easily

@MrsMcD: so, I'm a bit late to this, but voices, yes! Once in college some girl called me out on it and was like "so when did you start talking in voices? Is that just your thing?" Hahaha, womp womp. That made me feel sooo lame at the time, but I've since embraced it.

@fussygal: Embrace away, friend, embrace away. People who use judgment tones about anything are mostly unhappy with themselves, anyhow, right??
And FYI: I'm a bit late to EVERY thread because I feel like I'm about one of just three west coast hello bee'ers.
Also FYI: I will likely be up until 1 am working from home on, oh, just a giant project due tomorrow because I have PROCRASTINATED so much lurking, commenting, then deleting comments before posting, on Hello Bee all. day. long. Thanks, Hello Bee. Thanks.
pomegranate / 3580 posts
@MrsMcD: yay! West coast bees! Good luck on the project. Hopefully this comment notification wasn't too distracting, lol.

Yup! I feel like i could totally be friends with many of you, buy I'm shy and awkward irl and online. And since we're still a year plus from ttc I don't quite have a connection. I also feel that since I'm not on/don't post much anymore that I miss out on a lot of things and people forget who i am
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@fussygal: West Siiiiiddde! (Just kidding.... I'm so not ghetto.) And don't worry.... I'm looking for distractions. I peed on two OPKs. Both negative. Meh.
pomegranate / 3580 posts
@MediaNaranja: I've always loved your orange avatar! I'm a total shy weirdo, too! That's why I love HB, seems like there are a lot of us here.
@MrsMcD: Aw! Are you due to O soon? Good luck
honeydew / 7589 posts
@Mrs. Twine: Ha. Ha. Cool? Me? You should really meet me. Or maybe not, so I can keep having someone out there who thinks I'm cool. Also, do you have Instagram so I can more easily pretend we're next door neighbors?
Or do I have a vague memory of you saying you didn't have a smartphone...?
blogger / eggplant / 11551 posts
@Mrs. Twine: hahahaha i can imagine you talking to yourself like that. you're adorable and i love your life story and your way of life fascinates me. you think i'm nice and cool?! you just made my year. thank you
blogger / eggplant / 11551 posts
@MrsMcD: I feel the same way about being late to every thread! Everytime I'm ready to respond to a thread, what I wanted to say has already been said. So a lot of my comments are really lame and basically starts off with something along the lines of, "Yea what she said....". Derp.
pomegranate / 3329 posts
Yes, so many! I'm pretty quiet IRL, and it takes me a while to warm up to people, once I do I always wonder if they get my sarcastic humor. I also like a pp feel like when offering advice, I might come off as a know it all, I by no means want to give that vibe. I'll join the thread killer club too, we could have matching hats and jackets
nectarine / 2600 posts
@grizz: omg I totally show IG pics of Bee's LOs to my DH! I'm such a creeper, but these kids are so dang cute!! He'll be like, "Oh is that that one kid who....." when he recognizes someone. GOOOOddddd I'm so weird.
::creeps away::
So....when's Hellobee-Con? I'd totally make the trip for that
honeydew / 7811 posts
@TheSwissWifeStyle: haha, I love that pic. That can be "our song" Hellobee Con!!!
watermelon / 14206 posts
I told DH last night that I need a smart phone so that I can be on Instagram too, so that I can be even more friends with the Bees.
He didn't say no! He didn't say yes, either.
bananas / 9227 posts
@TheSwissWifeStyle: I like playing DD videos of HB kids on IG! She's all "hi, hi ... hello" and even kissing the screen. I think it's cute, but I'm sure ppl might think we're a little weird for it. Hehe.
nectarine / 2600 posts
@Crumbs: Awww, so cute! Uhm....I don't know how to play vids on IG! durrrr. How can you tell which ones are vids? Unless I just don't happen to follow anyone who posts vids.
blogger / nectarine / 2608 posts
@NaturallyCathy: It didn't sound lame. But it scares me a little to think of people looking up to me.
@Mrs. High Heels; All true!
@Arden; No smartphone. I just decided that it would clutter my mental life. I try to limit my own media useage. Plus it totally gives more legitimacy to my aura of living under a rock. I do have a tablet, though. Maybe I should consider IG.
GOLD / grapefruit / 4555 posts
@Mrs. Twine: Are you kidding? Totally normal. It scares the bejebus out of me that my kids look up and depend on me. I couldn't imagine being one of the bloggers even though I wish I were. The pressure!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
This thread gives me so many warm fuzzies! It's crazy how similar we all are in some ways! I definitely wish I knew everyone better. And I also wish I could be myself more on the boards, but I'm so sarcastic in real life, it doesn't always translate well. My on-line personality tends to be so much more bubbly I think than I actually am. And I totally over-compensate everything I say with smileys and emoticons for fear of being taken the wrong way.
GOLD / grapefruit / 4555 posts
Now I'm curious. @Mrs. Yoyo: Was I anything like you expected me to be? Online personality vs real life.
blogger / pomelo / 5400 posts
@NaturallyCathy: Hmmm, I don't think I had any big expectations? I think you seem more self-assured in person than on here.
GOLD / grapefruit / 4555 posts
@Mrs. Yoyo: I was so incredibly nervous! How funny!
bananas / 9357 posts
@MrsMcD: west coaster here too! *high five*
@Dandelion: you totally need to get on IG!
@Crumbs: that is adorable! I show A pics and videos of everyone's babies.
@TheSwissWifeStyle: Oh I show my DH everyone's babies on IG too! I'll be like "this is so-and-so's cute little baby, isn't he/she cute?!" Sometimes he'll take my phone and scroll through to look at the pics.
watermelon / 14206 posts
@mrskc: I'll print out your post and show DH where it says that you say I need to be on there, lol.
pomegranate / 3729 posts
@Dandelion: @Mrs. Twine: IG is where it's at. I secretly feel like I really "know" all my HBer IG friends. I show DH pictures and call these children by their names. Imagine if I ever saw any of them randomly somewhere? "Hey little guy...you're -----".
@Adira: I overcompensate with exclamation points and smileys. But less on the smileys now so I don't have a yellow picture every five words!
bananas / 9357 posts
@Dandelion: yes, please do! But seriously, following bees on IG really makes me feel like I "know" them better.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@bpcmarj: haha, that's too funny! I feel like I use the emoticons sooooo much more now that there are pictures! I especially love the

I refuse to let this thread die for at least a few more hours!
nectarine / 2667 posts
I don't know why it took me so long to jump in, but it was a bad call to wait because now my comment would be a whole page of @so-and-so: me too!!
Honestly, if I found out any one of you lived in Colorado Springs, I'd be forcefully insisting on eating lunch together. Especially you @NaturallyCathy: but I'd make you come to my house and watch DVR episodes of Doctor Who.
I feel like I'm the girl from Mean Girls who says "I wish I could bake a cake full of rainbows and smiles and we could all eat it and be happy." but then someone would be like "Do you even go here?!" and the thread would die.
honeydew / 7488 posts
I would love to get to know everyone on HB better, or even the bees in my city. But our city is so big that even that is difficult!

@mewtill: Hello, sweetie
If that's your form of torture, I like it. If that's a proposition, I accept. Just let me get rid of the hubs... >_>
