@Penny Lane: I won't let you kill this thread.
I'm taking it for the team. I will sacrifice myself.
I wish this thread longevity, but if this thread dies after this post; so be it; twas meant to be!

We just made page five of this awkward love fest
I love you all!

Late to this love fest!!
I'm gonna have to go back and read all the comments later!
I feel like I know a lot of bees pretty well, but would definitely like to get to know more of you for sure!

@MsLipGloss: Yes!! Character voices. I don't know why we talk to each other like that. We are six years apart. We just always have and we always will! I try to get my DH to talk in funny voices, but he doesn't do it as good.
blogger / pineapple / 12381 posts
@mrskc: I vote for an SLC conference. Throwing conferences is extremely cheap here!
GOLD / grapefruit / 4555 posts
@MrsMcD: Side comment - DH makes character voices but his tend to be from Star Trek, especially DS9. Quark and the Grand Nagus, if anyone is interested. But then there's quotes from The Princess Bride.
blogger / honeydew / 7081 posts
Oh my gosh, this thread is hilarious.
Totally want to get to know you ALL better - what an awesome community.
And for the record, I start a minimum of 3 sentences a day with "One of my friends said..." (from Hellobee), which results in DH making me stop, put "friends" in air quotes, and then continue with my statement.
pineapple / 12234 posts
I'd love to get to know some better! I love the one's that I feel like I've gotten to know too
GOLD / grapefruit / 4555 posts
@redsmarties: Seriously, I make comments like that all time "One of my mom friends -" "On the boards?" "Yes, on the boards. One of my mom friends..." Etc.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@NaturallyCathy: Cheers to husbands who find the humor in funny voices!!
@redsmarties: My husband does not get online friends at all. But he has the same group of friends from little league. Although... my few IRL friends don't understand internet friends either. So lame... I love internet friends. I've been making internet friends since AOL chat days. Only by the grace of God did I survive those times unscathed.
blogger / honeydew / 7081 posts
@NaturallyCathy: It gets more awkward when we're in public, and I'm talking to someone else. I'm like, "Oh, a friend just had her baby, blah blah blah," and DH will be like "She means one of her internet friends."
Just for this reason, I was given a mug for my b-day that says "I have a life, I just prefer it online."
coconut / 8234 posts
@redsmarties: HAHAHA. I love that your DH calls you out about your internet friends. I think that my IRL friends think I have a lot of mommy friends because I'm always telling them stories about my mommy friends aka HBers.
GOLD / pineapple / 12662 posts
@NaturallyCathy: I could quote Princess Bride all day . . . and as long as he doesn't make you rub his ears (Ferengi style), I would give him a little latitude.
GOLD / grapefruit / 4555 posts
@redsmarties: Zomg DH does that too! At least he's putting a positive spin on it with the mug? My DH actually brings up HB when we talk to people. Which I find funny because he's never on here.
GOLD / grapefruit / 4555 posts
@MsLipGloss: Ew. Funnily enough, he does the whole Ferengi thing because he knows I haaaaaate the Ferengi. It's all DS's fault. Whenever he grabs DH's nose, he just naturally sounds like the Grand Nagus. Sooooo annoying.
honeydew / 7811 posts
@TheSwissWifeStyle: LOL! Now I have that song in my head
I think this thread will never end, because no one wants anyone to feel like a thread killer!
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts
@redsmarties: @NaturallyCathy: I agree that in say to day conversations call you guys my "friends"!!!
pear / 1823 posts
My husband totally makes fun of the number of times I mention someone from Hellobee each day. I was hoping someone from my IRL mom's group would turn out to be one of you, but when I mentioned it, they all looked at me as if I was nuts!
apricot / 367 posts
I feel like once I was expecting, I had more to offer to HB. This totally not saying anything about HB, it's totally me and my awkwardness. I didn't want to get comfortable on the boards until that had happened. Now that it's here, I'm loving slowly getting to know the ladies (and dudes) on these boards!
GOLD / grapefruit / 4555 posts
@cmomma17: Seriously, if it makes it to page 2 of the boards, I'm reviving it. It. Will. Not. Die
@mrsbookworm: I try to get IRL friends and acquaintances on here but to date, none of them are (to the best of my knowledge)
@T.H.O.U.: I have no friends (that I talk to or see regularly). You guys are it. Is my existence sad?
persimmon / 1436 posts
Oh my gosh, I this thread!!!
I'm so glad to know I'm not the only one who:
- feels like a thread-killer
- awkwardly loves other bees from afar but is too afraid to say hi
- worries about offending! I tend to moderate my comments to the point that not really any of my personality comes across...maybe that's why I feel like no one "knows" me!
I love a good love fest! And I would so love it if we had bio pages, Gold or not -- it could allow for more of our "voice" to come through
persimmon / 1436 posts
Hahaha omg, if I'm the killer of this thread I will die. Someone save me! Just kidding...kind of...lol
bananas / 9227 posts
@NaturallyCathy: I feel that with social media being a daily part of all our lives, making comments to "strangers" isn't so weird. Actually, I don't think it's weird at all! Heck, I do it all the time. I first started Instagram only to follow my HB friends How else can we all get to know each other without commenting? I think it's great that we can all keep in touch, without really being in touch.
GOLD / grapefruit / 4555 posts
@Crumbs: I killed my IG back during that privacy setting scare (a year ago?). I thought about starting one back up but I have 23Snaps and everyone I want uses it so I thought, what's the point? But good point about the bees using IG, I didn't even think about that
@MamaMagpie: I can think of five bees off the top of my head that I stalk from afar. I think they have good comments, beautiful kids, etc and I just feel so meh. Kinda like approaching the bloggers. The angels smiled down upon them and they're golden but me, a mere mortal, etc etc.
Welcome to the love fest

I love @Dandelion: comment: "I wish we all lived in our private little gated HelloBee community and we could have dinner parties and play dates and babysit for each other and guard each other from the evils of in-laws and lazy SO's."
blogger / pomelo / 5400 posts
I wish all of you lived on my street. But no, my street has like 5 bazillion retirees, and the other family with young kids is probably scared of us after LO threw a fit when we had to pry him off their swing set! Sigh.
Seriously, an HB block party would be great.
GOLD / grapefruit / 4555 posts
@Mrs. Yoyo: I know that my time is coming with little man but the thought of your munchkin clinging to a swing set cracks me up.
I would totally live near(er) to you if I could! As it is, I'm only... 2 hours away! You could come visit whenever you wanted I even have a community park nearby
papaya / 10473 posts
Is it weird that I've admired this thread from afar all day but haven't posted for fear of killing it?
I especially love all the Bees on IG. I love seeing your baby bees! Confession: I always show pics of @sorrycharlie's LO to DH and freak out over how cute she is...and he always calls me out that I only know her from the Internet.
Please don't let me be the thread killer *ducks and hides*
GOLD / grapefruit / 4555 posts
@grizz: I think a lot of people know me as the lady with the red headed baby. Becuase that's what I mostly get comments back on concerning DD's hair. That and the chubbly-ness of my kidlets. And I just saved you from being a thread killer
GOLD / pineapple / 12662 posts
@Mrs. Yoyo: I totally can hear . . . "This Is How We Do It . . . " Montel Jordan style as the opening song for our block party montage!
GOLD / pineapple / 12662 posts
@grizz: You had me from letting me crash your IL garden thread with trixie hobitses and drive by fruitings.
GOLD / grapefruit / 4555 posts
@MsLipGloss: That's it. I'm moving to Atlanta so we can be BFs.
blogger / pomelo / 5400 posts
@NaturallyCathy: I think of you as the lady with the red-headed baby who pooped on me
GOLD / grapefruit / 4555 posts
@Mrs. Yoyo: Have I mentioned lately how sorry I am? I'm sorry. So very sorry. I will never. ever. live it down. First time meeting a blogger (*cue angel chorus*) and my child POOPS all over her. I died a little that day.
Of course trying to hold in the laughter right now at the memory is killing me a little more
