@naturallycathy @mrslipgloss that was a total set up and you both fell for it!

@scg00387: awwww someone likes me! My posts don't usually get that many responses so I always second guess myself. I am the Queen of typing a response and then deleting it.
GOLD / grapefruit / 4555 posts
@mrsjazz: I'm always delightfully surprised whenever a thread I start gets past the first page since I'm usually lucky if I get five responses. And I like you too, just chiming in
blogger / pineapple / 12381 posts
@mrsjazz: puh-leeze. Whenever I see you I am motivated to respond! I love how today you used J-dub. I was going to comment on that, but a 3 year old wanted something that moment.

@MsLipGloss: @Reese: You both just made me guffaw in my office right now. I love awkward humor and funny pictures. Can I be included in this group if you knew that in real life, my sister and I almost only talk to each other in deep or high pitch funny voices - even in public, which just makes it better? If only I could use the funny voices on the HB boards.....
@anonysquire: I, too, feel like a need a baby stat. Sometimes I pop into board threads that DO NOT EVEN apply to me and I still want to participate... what's wrong with me?
@TurtleDoves: do you love the "aint no body got time for that" song? Because I have it on my itunes and my DH and I play it in the car... that's a little overboard but we like it.
blogger / eggplant / 11551 posts
@sorrycharlie: I do that too!!
@Mrs. Twine: I am always impressed by the clarity and compassion of your responses. You're so awesome you leave everyone speechless - that's not quite the same as thread killing.

I want to get to know so many of you better too! I have close friends IRL, but none of them are mommies yet, so it's pretty lonely figuring this stuff out on my own. Thank god for Hellobee. I'd be lost without you all.
I'm also on my phone or iPad a lot so I don't respond to a lot of the more serious threads because I feel like a short, glib response just wouldn't do the OP any justice! Plus, so much good advice is given that by the time I want to say something I end up deleting my comment instead for fear of sounding lame.
Oh, and every night when DH and I talk, at least one of my sentences begin with, "so I read on Hellobee today that..." or "I learned from Hellobee that..." Hehe
coconut / 8234 posts
@NaturallyCathy: I only have a few of posts that have gone beyond one page: one is about guns and the other is about Miley Cyrus. I actually wanted to post a picture for you on that other thread about the popularity of your name and I didn't so I will now
@Mrs. Jacks: Hooray! Well, you are my secret Bee-friend crush. My husband knows who you are because I tell him, "Well, MrsJacks says this or MrsJacks says that." He knows that you like Melissa Harris-Perry and he thinks I'm crazy.
kiwi / 662 posts
@cheert16: ditto!
I feel like I would connect with some bees IRL really well just judging by opinions/values on certain subjects. I don't really put myself out there that often so I'm not sure how I would expect others to 'know' me. I would like to know others better though! I cherish the HB community. I've learned a lot; some things that I feel I wouldn't have necessarily learned IRL.

@mrsjazz: God, I wish I looked that fabulous! Most of the time I'm either feel like I'm dressing too dowdy for my age or too young for my mom of two status. I can't find clothes anywhere!
blogger / eggplant / 11551 posts
@mrsjazz: but remember that gold post confession @NaturallyCathy: made?? one of the most memorable threads ever.
pomelo / 5509 posts
I have to admit, I've never typed a comment and then deleted it. Maybe I should start doing that!?
GOLD / grapefruit / 4555 posts
@Mrs. High Heels: At least in recent HB history, and my middle name is Catherine. If necessary, I will post a picture of my driver license (With obviously blurred parts just to be safe)
grapefruit / 4311 posts
@TurtleDoves: hahaha agreed - there are so many times I start to respond and then decide nobody needs to hear that "snippy" response either
GOLD / grapefruit / 4555 posts
@IRunForFun: Noooooo don't, it's an aaaaaaaaaawful habit. I should stop.
blogger / eggplant / 11551 posts
@NaturallyCathy: hahaha true true you got me there.
blogger / pineapple / 12381 posts
@mrsjazz: I'm totally laughing out loud and telling the Mister about this right now!
coconut / 8234 posts
@Mrs. High Heels: @NaturallyCathy: Haha. Yes! I do remember that thread. I thought she was going to tell us that she was some kind of ax murderer or other types of crazy. I was kinda bummed it wasn't a juicier secret
GOLD / grapefruit / 4555 posts
@Mrs. High Heels: I think @mrsjazz: was referring to my post about how we came up with our screen names, not my post about identities.
GOLD / grapefruit / 4555 posts
@mrsjazz: Don't tell anyone but... I'm not wearing any socks!
GOLD / grapefruit / 4555 posts
@Mrs. Jacks: Don't laugh! I've done that too. See my above rant about how excited I got the first time one of the bloggers responded to me. DH thought it was the coolest thing and from then until recently, I still got uber excited whenever one of you guys noticed little old me. I talk about the bloggers like they're my BFFs now.
blogger / pineapple / 12381 posts
@NaturallyCathy: Now you will have blogger clothes Too bad they are all well used! But really, I don't feel any different than anyone else here.
coconut / 8234 posts
@Mrs. Jacks: Another one, "Well, MrsJacks still co-sleeps so who cares what anyone else thinks." I've completely exposed my craziness to you now. He usually gives me a slow nod and backs out of the room slowly to leave me with my interweb friends.
pomelo / 5509 posts
@Mrs. Jacks: Well, the only way I could convince SO to go to the back to the doctor the other day when he had that nasty skin infection was to tell him that a doctor on HB said it could be a tick bite and he might get Lyme....hahaha. So thanks for that!
blogger / pineapple / 12381 posts
@mrsjazz: I am in full support of co-sleeping. I don't think our child will still want to co-sleep with us on her way to college, so I assume that someday she'll move to her own bed. (Although I think Mr. Jacks and Mr. Jazz would get along very well as they both back out of the room and leave us to it!).
pomelo / 5509 posts
@Mrs. Jacks: Much better! It ended up just being a nasty bacterial infection from a bug bite he got while running in the woods, but when I forced him back to the doctor they lanced it and tested it and were able to get him on the proper antibiotics, which cleared things up quickly. Phew! Thanks!
blogger / pineapple / 12381 posts
@IRunForFun: That was on my differential (I think I said staph or strep), but man, that white circle sure made me worry! I'm glad he's on the mend.
wonderful pea / 17279 posts
There are so many bees that pique my curiosity. Meeting some bees IRL would be a total blast.
pomelo / 5509 posts
@Mrs. Jacks: Thanks, me too, partly because I was worried about him, but partly because he's the typical "male patient" and was driving me insane.
GOLD / grapefruit / 4555 posts
@Dandelion: Me neither. I was just trying to come up with a juicy secret for @mrsjazz: butthat was the best I could come ip with. Lame, I know.
bananas / 9357 posts
@Dandelion: not a thread killer this time!
We really should have a Hellobee conference. One in LA and one in NYC! I would love to meet more bees IRL.
@Mrs. High Heels: I'm always talking to my DH about HB! So much that he actually asks me about what went on here and he actually asked me for an update on a thread I told him about. lol
pear / 1609 posts
I think some bees I could be friends with if I knew them in real life. However I don't "know" many very well. I always read and don't post a whole lot because I'm not sure how I will come off.
I also have no mommy friends in real life and feel like a tread killer!!
nectarine / 2600 posts
There are many bees I would like to know irl. Its hard being so far away, wah.
In regards to typing stuff, then deleting it, I do it all the time! In response to intro threads where "hello..." is the subject, I always want to leave the comment: "is it me you're looking for...?" But I'm afraid no one would get it, or think it was funny, and/or think im a huge dork. Which I totally am.
And I'm the ultimate thread killer. Watch...this thread will die now.
grapefruit / 4311 posts
@TheSwissWifeStyle: I think it's funny that we all seem to think we are thread killers
pomegranate / 3521 posts
@TheSwissWifeStyle: ... I can see it in your eyes..
@MrsMcD: yes, yes and YES!
@mrsjazz: LOVE her.
nectarine / 2163 posts
@TheSwissWifeStyle: @Reese: ...I can see it in your smiiiile...
aaand as usual I'm super late to one of the fun threads O_o
I would love to get to know everyone better, but I feel like because of the time difference I'm never on when everyone else is!
plus, I'm super awkward and always worry about saying the "wrong thing" when I reply to posts so I end up just writing and not replying
ETA: let's see if I'm the lucky thread killer -.-
