Lucille? Would be Lucille Grace, nn Lulu or Lucy.
I think it's cute and really like it, and D suggested it, but I can't decide if it's got too much of an old-lady vibe...

I like it, esp the nicknames. I knew a Lucinda once too and that is pretty

I know a newborn Lucille. It was my grandma's name so it's a bit oldish for me. But I think it's pretty. The Spanish version is Lucila. I like that quite a bit but my husband did not!

I love it and also love the name Lucy.
Lately I've really been into the name Louisa or Luisa

I'm indifferent on the name, but it makes me think of a character in Arrested Development.

Nope it's beautiful.
But I have a Maxine, so I think grandma-chic is kind of awesome....

Old fashioned names are totally making a comeback and are now the "cool" thing to do!

I don't love Lucille, but I like it, and I love both nicknames. I agree with others that old fashioned names are so hot right now.
C's name was number one in the late 1800's. But I don't think it sounds old fashioned.

DD's name is Luciana. We loved Lucy but we're only lukewarm on Lucille and Lucinda.

Make sure you hear the (Chuck Berry?) song first! I do think both of your potential nn are adorable!!!

No, I love it! I LOVE the nickname LuLu. If we hadn't had a dog named Lucy, who we called LuLu, I'd use it for a girl.

Aw yay, thanks for the feedback! We had Eleanor, Amelia and Grace on our short list last time, and Eloise this time...I love old-fashioned names, and I don't know why my brain hitched on this one.

I like it! And I like old fashioned names. My new fave is Clara!
I have a Grace and a Sadie!

@travelingnanny: Same on the reference! My sis middle named her son Tobias and I was like "ehhhhh....never nude!"
Other than that, I love the name and prefer it to Lucy.

I'm ok with it but I absolutely love Lucy!
I would just name her Lucy!

I like it! And I love older names, dd's peaked in popularity in the 30s!

Love it! Our DD has an old lady name, but it fits her. I think the nn are perfect too.

@lemong: love Luciana, a friend pointedly reminded me I'm not Italian so it's been off my list for years. The nn I had in mind was Lucky.
OP, Lucille w/ a nn Lucy is divine!
