There have been many posts on Hellobee about wanting a daughter because of that mother-daughter bond. My younger brother is very close to my mom though. Is your brother close to your mom?

I don't have a brother, but I'm determined to have a close bond with my son! DH gets his daddy's girl, so I get my mama's boy!

Nope. She's lucky if she talks to him once a month! Now that they have a lo, they talk more often but they're definitely not close.
My husband, on the other hand, he is close to his mom. They have a fantastic relationship.

My older brother is the dream child and he is very close to our Mom! At least he was before he got his current girlfriend!
I think she is jealous of my brother's relationship with our Mom!

DH is VERY close with his Mom. BIL, not so much. DH and MIL have very similar personalities so they just get each other more then he does with FIL.
I only have an older sister but I'd say we're both very close to both parents.

Yes, he is. DH and his brother are also very close to their mother. Sometimes I think a little too close!

I dont think they are as close as she and I are & he lives in a house on the same lot as my parents.

My brother is kind of close to my mom... I guess as close as a 13 year old and their mom could be lol.

I have two brothers, and they are close to our mom, but not like my mom and I are.
DH loves his mom to death, and while he doesn't see or talk to her much (she lives overseas), he always talks about her and how he admires her. I think it is really cute.

Very close! He calls her once a day (as do I) :)... to check in and just to talk about the day. Our umma sort of is attached to our daily phone calls

somewhat. not as close as i am to her. he lives further away though.

I would say he's just as close as I am (or a little less so). Which is to say, not THAT close. We talk to our parents a few times a month and see them every other month or so. My brother might actually see them more often because he still gets some of his mail delivered to their house.

Yes, my brothers are close to my Mom. DH is close to his mother too.
I was always a daddy's girl growing up, but now I am closer to my mom as well.

yup when my mom was alive we were both very very close to her. i never understood when people said that boys arent close to their mother, it always shocked me. my husband is alo very close to his mom too.

I can't speak for my brother, since our mom died when we was a teenager.
My hubby is ridiculously close to his mother. He's an only child though, and she's a single mom, so I'm not all that surprised that they are so close. Sometimes it can be kind of annoying though...

@chopsuey119: me too!! I LOVE my son so freakin much I just hurt at the thought of a more distanced relationship.
Not so much... my brother moved 6 hours away when he got married at age 20!! We see them a few times a year for holidays and of course he hugs my mom and talks to her but he mostly spends all his time with my dad, brothers and my hubby.
I have two younger brothers - one is 20 and he and my mom are pretty close. But he is still living at home so I'm not sure if/how it will change when he moves out or gets married.
My other bro is 16 but he fights with my mom all the time. He is like a girl teen hahaha!
I was one of the ones that said I would want a girl for the "forever bond" that I share with my mom/sister.

No brother but DH and BIL are not very close to their mom. It makes me sad. It has definitely influenced me into wanting 2 girls.

My mother thinks the sun shines from my brother's bum. : ) They don't talk every day or anything but they are really close. They are really similar to each other just like my dad and I are really similar to each other. Each parent has an obvious favorite and all of us are just fine with the arrangement! HA!
