Yep, on both sides. He was just born yesterday, but he's already been spoiled by very excited grandparents.

she will be on dh's side, but 3rd on my parents. but, I fully expect her to be spoiled by both sides

Ours was on both sides. Not too spoiled though since we don't see either sets of grandparents very often.

First grandchild on both sides. Spoiled already and she's only a month old!

First on my side... #8 on dh's side. And definitely "taken care of" by my mom and lo isn't here yet!

my bro has 3 kids, and my husband is an only child. So when we get pregnant it will be my MIL first (possibly only) and my parents 4th. ( I think it will be different because it is my kids and not my brothers though.
I have been jealously watching them interact with my nephew who is 6 months old that last 6 months. My dad is all about watching him, and cuddling him (which he didnt do with my nieces who are 10 and 6.) I often catch him looking at me with a tear in his eye when I am holding or playing with him. It is cute, but makes my baby fever spike!!!

DS was my moms 2nd grandchild, my dad's 5th and my IL's first. He's much more spoiled by my IL's.
DD was my moms 4th grandchild, my dad's 7th and my IL's 2nd. She is much more spoiled by my IL's.
But they are both spoiled by all the grandparents.

My LO will be my parents' first grandchild and my inlaws second grandchild.
Not born yet so I can't speak to spoiling really, except I am certain that s/he will be spoiled by both regardless
Probably not quite as much as my nephew is by my MIL, but she also lives closer to him and his mom needs more help than we do. But still, she has been crazy excited/supportive of my pregnancy so I'm sure its just a preview of how excited she is for another grandbaby.

DS will be the first grandchild on both sides (DH and I are the oldest children in our families). He isn't here yet, but my MIL has already started spoiling him and I'm sure that will continue (but she also spoils DH and I so I'm not too surprised!) I'm not sure about my parents though...it isn't in my mom's personality to spoil, but I've never seen her with grandchildren so who knows!
We recently found out my brother and his girlfriend will be having a baby a few months after us, so he won't be the only grandchild for very long!

Second on my side. Fifth on his side. Favorite on both.

No on DH's side and yes on my side. We don't see either side of the grandparents often since we live far away so he's not really spoiled per say. But when they see him, they smother him with kisses and want to hold him all day long.

Yes, ours will be the first on both sides and it freaks me out because our parents are so freaking intense about this baby.
eggplant / 11408 posts
@MrsKoala: LOL. DH's grandparents and my younger sisters are the most intense about the baby. We have a feeling that his grandparents may drive 7 hours to show up at the hospital *shakes my head* But they're so cute, it's hard to be mad

Nope, she's #4 on my side & #2 on DH's. She's still spoiled though (especially on DH's side!)

She is the first on my side, and the second on DH's side (first granddaughter). I don't think she is particularly spoiled by anyone, but she is well loved!

He's the fourth grandchild for my parents. He's the first grandchild for my inlaws. My parents spoil him pretty well. Inlaws don't spoil him.
persimmon / 1385 posts
LO will be the first for my parents (they are close by) and the #7 for DH's parents (plane ride away). I have a feeling how it will play out in the spoiling category but I guess we'll see.

She is the first on both sides, and my husband's father and step mom totally spoil her. My SIL is TTC now though, and I hope she is successful soon!
clementine / 899 posts
When we have one, they will be. It's a very low chance our siblings will get KU before us (SIL is single and my brother is only
21). Will also be first great-grandchild for my grandparents. I'm guessing they will be uber spoiled...
