The more older I get, the more I am like my mom than I realize... more so in the housewife duties. In the parenting, I'm not so sure yet. My mom was really strict to the point of hovering (which made me rebellious)...she was a tiger mom. My MIL, on the other hand, was not as strict but all her kids turned out fine and are pretty successful. I think I'd be somewhere in the middle.

We will most likely be a little bit of both. It will mostly be 'our' style and not really 'theirs'.

I'm neither. Not sure where I'm getting my parenting skills from... but then again, I'm only 6 weeks in.

My mom and mil are very similar. And I think I'm like both of them when it comes to parenting.
Luckily my husband is like his father and not like mine and actually helps out around the house. My mom has to do everything, and with 3 kids I don't know how she did it!

The older I get the more I become like my mom too. I love my mom!

I've come to realize over the last 2 months, my mom & I have a lot of the same ideals/thoughts about raising babies (I wouldn't go so far as to say 'parenting style'). We both believe in baby wearing, breastfeeding, co-sleeping, no CIO, CDing, having them listen to music, etc.

I'm pretty similar to both my mom and mother-in-law. Both believe in keeping baby on a schedule and both put a high emphasis on keeping the house put together and organized. I don't always succeed at either of these goals, but they're important to me and help preserve my sanity!

I think my mom and mil were both pretty similar. Strict without being overly strict and I think DH and I will be (hope to be) the same way.
