DH is currently obsessed with swimming pool maintenance...he reads blogs, listens to podcasts and is constantly talking about different equipment. I guess this is better than fantasy football!

Mine is always into something! Currently it's this little creek boat he just bought. He's always out there fiddling with it or fixing something with it or reading up on it.

Oh my gosh, dh is constantly online looking for new equipment for the business (ie excavators and dozers). Our parts for something. Sometimes it drives me nuts. But luckily he has no idea how much time I spend on hb lol!

Hey, at least it's productive. DH is obsessed with fitness right now. I just got a shipment of hemp protein powder in the mail today because he's off Whey (and I will hear for HOURS tonight about how greaty Hemp is over whey)

@prettylizy: I guess...I can't wait until we can have a conversation that doesn't involve his findings about chlorine and acid washing!

@autumnlove: trade you. If I have to hear about his cardio routine, caloric intake or how much he dead lifted for one more night...... ugh! lol!

Working out. Since the winter holidays we have both been on a weight-loss kick. He has taken it to another level. He has lost 30 lbs, gave up grains, bought zinc vitamins that boost REM sleep to help him drop more weight while he sleeps.

@MrsH: My husband is obsessed with this too. And this has been such an up and down year for his team (Univ. of Illinois) so it's been rough.
@Ash: I hope he's looking at Caterpillar equipment because that's where my husband works!

He is always doing things with audio/recording (it is his field of work), but even at home looking up equipment, ideas, watching youtube videos, researching...he loves it!

Do cars count if he's been into them his whole life? After all, he is a mechanic, but he's constantly buying books on his projects (currently a truck, his BMW car, and Kawasaki motorcycle) as well as getting on the forums and talking to other enthusiasts. He'll even put on his headphones just to listen to different engines on youtube!

@Ash: Ha, small world! I went to college in the Quad Cities where Deere is headquartered, so I have an affinity for them as well.

He plays this stupid computer game called civilization and is so into it. It's really annoying sometimes!

@matador84 Civilization is a great game. As is Age of Empires, Mythology, and the old WoWs.

@prettylizy: hahaha. Our DHs should hang out! DH has always been obsessed with fitness, he's done bodybuilding and was a personal trainer, also a wrestling coach and next weekend he has his first powerlifting competition (it's a drug free one). He's worried about his bench press, it's his weakest lift, at three hundred sixty something pounds.... Umm, dude, chillax, when would you be in a situation where you'd need to lift more than that in that position?!?! Although I'm more excited about this than bodybuilding, he turns into a monster when it's time to cut weight & get rid of all his water. This he won't have to cut at all!

Genealogy. It's actually really neat, not only has he found out some cool things about both of our families, but he's turned it into a side business so he's made some money doing something he loves.

1) cars and car shows on TV
2) any of those dumb auction shows on TV
3) football
4)slickdeals.net
5) camera equipment. He's always buying new lenses and selling his old ones on Craigslist.
Edited to add: looking at this list, my husband seems so typically American-guy!! Except he didn't move to the US until he was in college, and in his country, they don't even HAVE american football, storage units, and muscle cars. Weird. =)
