I've only been using my Freetime bum geniu diapers for about 4 months , and for the last 2 months we only use them nights and weekends, since LO is at day care. Anyway this weekend I realized that one of the snaps came off. I called in to thema nd they seemd pretty flippant about it and told I have nothing to worry about since I am still within the 1 year warranty.
I'm pretty disappointed that this would happen after such a short time of use and such light use too. Is this common with cloth diapers?

I don't think it's that common, but if it's under warranty than I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I've been using mine for 14 months and haven't had an issue.

yeah it is under warranty so they will send me a new one after they receive mine, I just hope its not a sign of things to come with the rest of my stash

Never heard of that being an issue... I have heard the BG's generally tend to be lower quality than some other pockets; and I've heard issues about their aplix and elastics which is why they started issuing those repair kits.

Hmm if it makes you feel better, I glanced at ohapostrophe's blog the other day and she said her BG 4.0s have held up GREAT...I think she specifically mentioned the snaps. I noticed because we bought all BG with snaps--hopefully this one is just a fluke!

@Coco Bee: These diapers are all in ones. I wasnt aware they were lower quality than other brands.

We're 15 months in, mostly use BG and haven't had issue with snaps. Hopefully it was just a fluke!

@Mrsbells: That's just what I gathered from reading reviews while I was researching brands when I was pg. Most reviewers said they wouldn't last through two children and that's what I was looking for.

Just as an update, they told me I can send the diaper back to them but it will be at my expense. And any future diapers that have issues until my 1 year warranty expires will also have to be shipped to them at my expense. I dont see why I have to pay for the shipping when their product which is still relatively new has a problem.

@Mrsbells: but they have those repair kits now for only $1 and sounds like they have great customer service so I wouldn't worry about it
