I am 22w4d and I finally got my first stranger comment re: my pregnancy. I was walking into our building this morning and the security guard asked if I was having a baby. I am glad I am starting to look more pregnant and less fat!
When did a stranger first ask about your pregnancy??

I would say not until I was much further along! Probably somewhere around 30 weeks! I think so many people are sensitive and don't want to offend anyone if they AREN'T pregnant that they just err on the side of caution until I brought it up!

I still haven't gotten any, but it's also been really cold here so I've been in my winter/rain coat which totally hides the bump.

Congrats! Though you're so tiny, I thought it would be obv. to strangers it's all baby! (hope that doesn't sound too weird!)
At 18wks, when I'm not wearing a coat, I can see people looking at me with a "is she pregnant?" look. Think it'll be a long time before a stranger says anything, if at all... people here are pretty reserved.

Yay! Once the comments start, they don't stop it seems like! I think I was probably around 24 weeks? Now I feel like people make small talk with me several times a week.

It still hasn't happened for me yet at 24 weeks! I've been patiently waiting to see what kind of comment I get but nothing so far. Probably doesn't help that it's still been really cold here and I've had to wear a winter coat outside a lot. I have gotten looks on the train like @illumina: said, "is she pregnant?" but nothing more.

I started noticing a lot of glances at my stomach sometime in the early 20-ish weeks, but no one came out and said anything until a bit later. I got my first seat on public transportation around 23 weeks, I think. It really depends on clothes though-- with a coat on it's so hard to tell. I'm 25 weeks and the sales guy at Pottery Barn Kids couldn't believe I was that far along-- not because I'm so little, but with a coat open over a loose shirt, it's just hard to see.

I think around 22 weeks when I quit zipping up my jacket? I always wear a jacket since it's cold in the office. Now that it's in the 80's, zero jacket = more people noticing, but some don't know if it's because I'm preggo or just getting fat (got that one last Friday).

@lawbee11: awww. I thought about your "disappearing bump" thread the other day as I feel like mine reduces just before a growth spurt and is then is usually much bigger in the evening anyway.

You see, I'm on the other side of the spectrum because I was overweight pre-pregnancy and hold it all in my tummy. Someone stood up for me on the tube (and patted her tummy as she offered me her seat) about three months before I got pregnant - so I was, like, minus 10 weeks??!
I started showing for real (like undeniably pregnant, loads of comments) very, very early (I guess the bump pushed the fat out!) and, by 14 weeks, I was looking 6 months pregnant. The strange thing is, I haven't got much bigger since. Weird!

I was 19 weeks. We had just had an elective ultrasound and found out the gender and that very same day the cashier at Home Depot asked if we knew what we were having. DH said I should have looked shocked and told her I wasn't pregnant, he has a warped sense of humor sometimes.

HAHA with my 2nd pregnancy someone (asian at our favorite Japanese restaurant) asked if I was pregnant. I WAS ONLY 5 WEEKS PREGNANT OR SO at the time.
It was obviously bloat and tummy fat.
