    @periwinklebee: I'm so glad to see this update.

    I just broke down crying to DH about a series of negative tests. Feeling really low about it.

    @knittylady: I get it cause I've been there but being the voice of reason... girl you are like 9 dpo! It's so early!! Still plenty of time.

    @knittylady: Sorry sweetie, we're all here for you! But @mrskansas is right, it ain't over yet!

    @mrskansas: @bizwitch: Thank you ladies. I think I was getting ahead of myself and realizing how upset I'll be if this isn't our cycle. But why feel that emotion for several days when I only need to feel it if and when it happens??

    Sorry for the crazy! I already feel better after a good cry and writing about it here.

    @madisonbee: @JHD: @knittylady: Thanks so much for the support - you guys are really the best! I was afraid they would find that my cervix was open, which is a certain sign of miscarriage, so I was pretty happy. Now I think I'm just going to need to POAS everyday as long as there's bleeding - thank goodness I have a ton of cheapie tests that came with all the OPKs I've used over the past months

    @knittylady: I'm so sorry, I know the feeling. But everyone else is right that it's super early. You are definitely still in the game!

    @periwinklebee: so glad things are ok still. @knittylady: I keep going back and forth like "I'll just buy more tampons" to having glimpses of hope. I have absolutely no symptoms but I know that doesn't rule me out. I don't even have tests at home. I was about to order some on Amazon but am chickening out. I feel very superstitious but I don't even know which way I feel... like to jinx it by being too positive or too negative?

    I know this isn't positive yet but I think I'm getting closer. I took this last night and skipped this morning but I'm hoping tonights test will be positive or close! CD 12 today

    @mrskansas: Ooh so close! I'm CD10 today and my LH strips look promising. I hope I ovulate sooner than later.

    @madisonbee: Yes I'm tired of waiting! Lol.

    So I calculated my imaginary due date if I were to ovulate on Friday the 20th... and got Friday, October 13. Not sure how I feel about that haha

    @mrskansas: that's my birthday!

    @madisonbee: well then it can't be that bad! My anniversary is on the 8th and it will be 5 years this year so I am kinda hoping to be pregnant and have a baby around that time

    @mrskansas: That's my mother in law and step mother's birthday!

    @knittylady: So many birthdays! Well then I am not worried about it if it happens. Not that I should be anyways!
    We have three family members all born 10/17, two of which were just born this past October and are cousins! They were due a month apart but ended up being born on the same day.

    @mrskansas: See, not so bad! 😜 If I would've had a BFP this month, I would've been due one day after our wedding anniversary.

    @junebugsmama: Thank you! I would just let yourself feel however negative or positive you're feeling in the moment - we've all been there. And both tampons and tests are something you'll definitely have a use for at some point, so not money wasted! I have my fingers crossed!

    @mrskansas: Almost there!

    So last night after I took a shower, my entire face was red, puffy and my skin felt sensitive. I hadn't used anything different so I didn't think much of it. Now this morning, my face feels normal but my eyes are really itchy, puffy and red/purple beneath my eyes. I'm not sure what is going on but I'd like to take some allergy medicine to see if it helps, and of course everything I read says it could interfere with ovulation/implantation so now I don't want to take anything. I know the chances are probably really minor but I can't stomach the thought of doing anything to interfere with getting pregnant. Ugh

    @knittylady: @mrskansas: @madisonbee: October birthdays are great! We have 4 in our close family (including DH and DD) with birthdays in the first week of October, and our anniversary is Oct 17, I'm hoping to add another exciting date to October this year! (Still lurking here and afraid to officially join for fear of jinxing, I won't POAS till Feb. anyway)

    @knittylady: hang in there we are almost to the end of this cycle! If not this one, maybe the next? Are you continuing to poas or waiting? I will be testing Friday am so I am happy to commiserate if we get BFNs
    @periwinklebee: so glad things are looking good so far!! Sending you lots of positive vibes and
    @mrskansas: how about trying something soothing on your eyes like cold cucumbers or even black teabags are vasoconstrictive.. if you have a saline rinse at home use it first.

    @periwinklebee: thank you! Trying to stay open to whatever happens. DH had his SA and passed all criteria thankfully. If AF shows up I'll be going on to getting the bloodwork, hsg and ultrasound next month...

  26. periwinklebee

    grapefruit / 4466 posts

    @Mrs. K: That's great about the SA - I'm super glad that there's one less thing to have to worry about! I hope you have a and the tests aren't needed, but it's great that you have things set up to get more answers if needed.

    @madisonbee: Hey ain't nothing wrong with a witch! LOL!

  28. dominobee

    @mrskansas: SAME. I had a fever and obviously needed to take Tylenol to bring it down but I was like NOOOOOOOOOOOO. Then I stopped being ridiculous about it and took some Tylenol and felt way better. People get pregnant ALL THE TIME doing things that aren't great for conception. Pack-a-day smokers who are addicted to heroin get pregnant. A little Tylenol when I have a fever is not going to make a huge difference.

    @bizwitch: Yeah I tell myself that too but it's hard! I took half of an allergy pill and feel better already. I haven't even ovulated yet so I shouldn't get too ahead of myself.

    @knittylady: For 10 DPO that's a great line!

  32. dominobee

    @knittylady: I see it! Test again tomorrow and see if it gets darker! All my fingers and toes are crossed for you!!!

    I had major ovulation pains from yesterday evening until mid-morning today. We squeezed another BD in this morning though I was like half asleep because I was up all night coughing, LOL! DH is such a good sport. He really wants a baby too which helps.

    Last night I dreamt we DID have a baby. He was clearly a few months old but in the dream we didn't know what his name was. Haha.

  33. dominobee

    @mrskansas: Indeed it is hard. I have tried to get off of ibuprofen though. I used to pop one anytime I had a headache or muscle aches or whatever. I've started meditating and doing yoga instead to deal with those things, and it's actually helping. Still need ibuprofen when AF is in town though. Yowza.

    @bizwitch: I wanted to chime in on Tylenol and say that it's better for conception/implantation to have tylenol than a fever! High body temps aren't great for all that so I think you absolutely did the right thing. That being said, you're so right about people getting pregnant under insane conditions, so it's funny the things that worry us. I'm totally guilty of the same thoughts!

    @knittylady: Yeah I figured as much. Being sick as a dog can't be good for a developing egg!

    My hormones are low, pretty much baseline, so no birth control for me. We can try naturally this cycle. No idea if it will work or if I will actually ovulate but its not birth control. Going on birth control just felt so backwards.
