My coworker told me something interesting. Not sure if it's true or not. So I thought I would poll you guys. I'm not going to say what she said just so not to sway anyone's voting.
What kind of pregnancy did you have and what kind of baby did you end up with from that?

Little bit of both. Pregnancy, easy start and tough end. Baby, tough start and easy end.

I think compared to what I know others go through I had an easy pregnancy (but it was still hard on me!). Lo has had moments of being easy but mostly she is a very challenging baby.

Very easy pregnancy, and I wouldn't say LO is tough--just VERY ACTIVE. From the very beginning.

Easy pregnancy. Terrible sleeper but she's easy in other ways (well-behaved in public, wakes up happy, super smiley, etc.).

I hope she is getting easier! But you also made a good point... tough and easy is relative. Something that's easy to someone might be tough for someone else and vice versa.

I had a pretty easy pregnancy considering I had twins. Generally I have two easy babies although Alice is a little high maintenance and neither believe in sleep these days. I think if either of them were singletons they'd be super easy. It's just that there are two of them that's hard!

Easy pregnancy (once i got pregnant with E...getting there was another story) and she was an easy baby in general. Still a pretty easygoing toddler, I think...

I had a medium/tough pregnancy (cyst in beginning, car accident, BP issues at end) and a easy baby. She loved to sleep and was a great baby minus some digestion issues we still battle.

@.twist.: Sleep training. Yes! Glad to hear it got better.
@hilsy85: I tried to use a neutral word for not easy... haha. Very active has it's good and bad moments. Our LO is very active too which is great for burning energy (good sleep!) but bad when he does something that we can't save him from and he hurts himself.
@lawbee11: That sounds like a great baby! Yeah sleeping is always a challenge for us.
@twodoghouse: Twins are tough no matter how easy they are. That was a weird sentence... sorry. One of my coworkers is a twin and I asked him once if his parents liked having twins... he said his mom always says how tough it was even though he thought they were good kids... she said yes you two were good but there were two of you! Haha.

I agree with @twodoghouse:. I think my pregnancy was tougher than a lot of single pregnancies (definitely way worse than my current single pregnancy anyway), but it was easy compared to some really difficult pregnancies. I think the boys would be easy-ish if they were individuals, but the collective-especially with two sleep haters who never. stop. moving--makes them seem like tough babies/toddlers.
Here's hoping that easy pregnancy equals easy baby this time!

Both were pretty tough for me. And big babies are not better sleepers! That was another myth for us.

Pretty easy pregnancy, aside from the standard nausea and fatigue early on. Difficult newborn to three month, then she flipped a switch and has been a pretty awesome and fairly easy baby/ toddler since 3.5 months (which happens to be when we first started sleep training).

I don't really know how to vote! I'm so not a black and white person.
My pregnancy compared to most was easy - but I didn't enjoy 40 weeks of vomiting, really.
My daughter is really, really easy - but was a sh*tty sleeper for the first year.
This pregnancy has been generally easy...except for my sacroilliac issues and some other preexisting issues. No idea what kind of baby she'll be!

I had a relatively easy pregnancy despite having GD, and so far LO is an easy baby. She has her tough moments, like right now since she's cutting two molars at once.

First - easy pregnancy, TOUGH newborn & infant, fairly easy toddler. Headstrong and active, but pretty happy and a great sleeper so those count for a lot in my book.
Second - easy pregnancy at 30 weeks. Hoping and praying for an easy newborn. God help me if it's anything like the last time, in addition to a toddler.

@fairy: Haha so you are exactly her theory. I guess since this has been up for a while I can say what she said. She said babies are the opposite of the pregnancy. I'm having a tough pregnancy in the sense my baby is giving me lots to worry about from bleeding in the beginning to placenta issues to now being breech, oh and GD. My coworker told me that don't worry he's tough in pregnancy but he will be an angle baby! She says babies know they were troubles in the womb and want to be good to their parents when they come out.
I was like I'm not sure about that. I would be pretty happy about having a healthy baby and it would be nice to have an easy baby but let's take a poll and see if other mothers had the same experience! Haha.
@Mrs. Blue: Haha exactly just the fact there are two of them makes them a bit tough. *fingers crossed for current baby*
@lilteacherbee: Nice! Sorry about the GD, it totally sucks but manageable. I'm happy to hear you were able to control it with diet.
@MOMTOLITTLEB: Oh no! I always thought LO was a good sleeper (when he finally went to sleep) because he was on the lager side. I hope your LO gets easier!
@yoursilverlining: Bummer about the pregnancy and infant stage but nice on the toddler stage! I would love to have an easy toddler.
@Foodnerd81: Yay! I think when the babies have a good sleep they are better overall, so glad to hear that was the case for you!
@sorrycharlie: Haha it's true not everything is black or white. This question was more in general if you felt overall it was easy or tough. Of course there will be good moments and bad but there is usually an overall "feel" of the experience is what I meant. Of course if you are pretty evenly divided that's another story. I'm glad yours seem relativity easy. Sleep is always hard!
@avivoca: Aww poor baby. LO was a monster when his molars were cutting through. Glad to hear that it was easy over all.
I definitely think the easy pregnancy and easy babies are winning. I'm also glad to see that tough pregnancy and tough baby is the lowest vote.

@MOMTOLITTLEB: I agree with that. DS1 was over 10 pounds and he still woke up all the time to eat.
DS1 - hard pregnancy (no complications but physically very hard) and pretty easy baby (challenging sleeper but good eater and laid back baby)
DS2 - easy pregnancy (even with GD) and very easy baby. OMG - a great baby who is spoiling me and makes me want 10 more just like him

@RAINDROP My son is a good sleeper now at 11 months but it took until about 9 months to really get him sleeping and by then teething was in full effect. We're in a good place now, so there is hope for big tough babies! He's still very demanding, no one would call him easy going but he's my sweet boy and I'm pretty intense and demanding myself so I know where he gets it.

With both I got easy babies but pregnancy with DD was awful. I was sick a lot and kept going into premature labor. Pregnancy with DS was pretty simple. I was just pregnant. Most stressful part was losing power for a week last winter. Lol

Tough pregnancies, I don't handle it well. First baby was harder than the second. They have very different personalities and I don't jump to rescue our second as quickly as our first, so I think it is multiple factors involved.

Both pregnancies were easily, especially the first one. However LO1 was a tough baby and LO2 has been an easy baby.
