Let's say there are 3 stalls and they're all open. Would you go to the closest, middle or farthest stall?

I think I'd go to the farthest...maybe subconsciously trying to use the one that others are least likely to use? Haha, love this question!

My natural instinct is to go to the middle or last, so I usually pick the first and hope that fewer people use it.

@crash806: I have actually heard the opposite! The reasoning is this: most people assume that the 1st stall is the most heavily used, and thus avoid it. This is why I always choose the closest, ha.

Probably middle. The farthest is usually the handicap stall, so I won't use it unless I have to.

I go to the last stall so I can check the other stalls to make sure there are no killers lurking around. No lie.

i use the closest because when i was much younger i watched one of those nightly news shows & they did some report on germs in bathrooms and found ppl are least likely to use the first stall & they're less likely to use it for more germy bathroom issues.

maybe i should rethink my thinking..i always go to the farthest becuase i think not as many people would use it because the have to walk farther...but now i am thinking i should go to the closest...

Funny, my reasoning has nothing to do with which I think is used most often. I would go to the farthest one purely based on the fact that it is farthest from the door and farthest from other people so I can have more privacy.

I heard the closest is least used too, so that's what I use. Of course if it's dirty I mosey on down the line.

Oh my gosh people, don't use the middle stall if all the stalls are free!!! I don't want to be in a stall NEXT to you if I don't have to!! Take the first or the last so that I can ALSO take the first or the last and there's a buffer stall between us!

I'm not sure, probably the closest.. but my one habit is to use the handicap stall (especially at work where no one is handicap). For some reason the extra space makes it so much more comfortable!

I have also heard the cleanest are the first and last stalls! Now I pick the one I can fit the stroller in though!

@sloaneandpuffy: It is SO tough to find one big enough for the stroller. I always found it awkward to have to wait on it.

i've also heard that most people use the least used, so i usually go to that one. most people go to the furthest for 'privacy' :o)

Farthest possible because I saw something on a show once about how the first 2 stalls are the most used (and grossest, therefore, I assume.)

I usually go to the farthest stall even though I've heard the first stall is actually the least used because people think otherwise. Ultimately, I check them all out and go for the cleanest!

@MediaNaranja: This is what I've always heard, as well. I use the closest. But according to our poll results, so far, we may be wrong.
